recieved a acer 3680 laptop and when I turn it on it asks for the primary master HDD user password. Is there any way possible of getting rid of this. I am willing to try anything. Primary Master HDD User Password lost
The only solution is for you to call the acer tech support and they can generate a password for you to gain access to your hard drive and bios.

I would recommend that u take it to a technician but if u can be able to open it u need to remove the cmos jumber inorder to clear the cmos settings, also try to remove the system battery switch on the notebook and the switch it off after a few seconds, replace the battery and switch it on again. It should laod up with default settings which might make other devices not to work since the settings where cleared, so u need to reconfigure the Bio's settings again

There is a freeware called Killcmos. You can find it using google. But this is no guarantee and could possibly damage your bios.
