I want to change my monitor colour temperature

When you use the Colors window to select colors for text or objects in a document, you can also assign a color profile to the document. Color profiles help ensure that the colors you see in the document onscreen match the colors in the document when it's printed or viewed on another computer.
To choose a color profile for a document:
  1. In your document, select the text or object whose color you want to change.
  2. Open the Colors window.
In some applications, you can open the Colors window by choosing Format > Font > Show Colors or Format > Show Colors. In some applications, you can also click a button in the application's toolbar or a settings pane.
  3. Click the Color Sliders button.
  4. Choose a slider option from the pop-up menu.
  5. Drag the sliders or enter specific values to adjust the color.
  6. Click the colored box next to the pop-up menu and choose a profile from the list.
If you open your document and the colors appear in a different shade or hue than you expected, the application you're using might not recognize color profiles. Try using the generic color profiles instead.
In some cases, an application may not open documents that use non-generic color profiles.
You can create your own custom color profiles using ColorSync Utility. For more information, open ColorSync Utility and choose Help > ColorSync Utility Help.

My color photos print darker then they appear on my monitor. I use Huey pro to callibrate, I use photoshop and print to an Epson 3880, using the Epson supplied profiles. I turn off printer management and...

You need to select the correct Printer Profile for the type of paper you are using. If you are using non-Epson paper, you need to download the ICC Profile from the paper mfg. website.

You also need to check if the paper is comparable to an Epson paper that the printer supports. If the paper your using is not comparable to any Epson paper the printer supports then you might want to try using another kind of paper. Epson prefers Epson Paper. You can also try any non-Epson paper as long as it is comparable to any Epson paper the printer supports. Try to go to their website and look at the printer's specifications. It lists all type of paper the printer supports.

Samsung monitor syncmaster 913v

Either you messed badly with the system color profile management, or, more likely, the VGA cable is faulty or improperly seated. Try unhooking the PC end of the cable (and, if you got yourself a model with removable cable, also the monitor end), and hook them back again, seating the connectors gently but firmly and tightening the connectors' retainer screws.

Message that the Samsung Natural Color Pro 1.0 ICM is defective

I receive the same error. If I use the profile colors are off (not just a little). Other fora have posted to uninstall the driver and use a generic monitor. This allows Photoshop do its thing properly.

Colors off. saturation incorrect.

I've had similar color management problems.  I've lacked consistent color management from day one with this printer.  I use standard Epson ICC profiles for paper /printer combinations.  In setup I select the specific paper type (mostly Epson Premium Luster paper.  SP4800 PLPP PK 288.icc profile. I use Print with Preview, Color Handling "No Color Management".  Under Print Setup I select Premium LusterPhoto Paper. Under Printer Color Management I select Off (No color management).
Prints with these settings are so far off from the colors in the preview image the only thing they are good for is the shredder.  In addition, I can use the same profile and printer settins and prints are different from one print to the next without changing any settings. Very frustrating.

I've gone through several hundred dollars trying to get consistent color management.  I also use an Eye One Greytag Mcbeth color management tool for both monitor, and for some papers, custom profiling.  Nothing seems to improve.
I did talk with a consultant and was advised to do a good head cleaning (which was done) and also use Disk Utility to repair permissions (also done) but still no improvement. My consultant from a reputable Pro Photo source advised me that I was not alone and that he ad numerous users who were experiencing similar color management problems.  This vendor no longer carries Epson because of  these continuing problems. Try the head cleaning and repairing permissions.  As for me, I've been struggling twith these problems for over a year.  I'm looing at trading in my Epson 4800 for an HPZ3100. This is probably overkill for my needs as it is 24 inch capacity but i like that it has an Euye One photo sensitometer built into the print heads.  I'll be going to the vendor and testing this unit later this week.

Color management monitor profile change.

Good Morning aspevak
Depending on the internal video card, you have to install the correct driver for your monitor, and video card, other than that is just setting on control panel and advance setting , all the features, for the colors, or profiles.

Error 1168: Calibration Data not found

You have to put the file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\spool\drivers\color\spyder2express.icm into display properties (click right on the desktop, select "properties", parametres, click on button "advanced" and tab "color profiles"). I use a french OS, so words may be different.

What are the effects of Adobe RGB?

Adobe RGB enables more vivid color reproduction, for Adobe RGB is capable of more color space than sRGB. It offers more flexibility than sRGB on image processing and image retouching. Please note, however, a normal PC monitor cannot realize the color reproduction effect, for the available color range of the monitor is restricted by its specification. Further, an image with Adobe RGB ICC profile may be reproduced in poor color depth unless color management is provided in advance. Meanwhile, there may be cases that the Adobe RGB effect is realized in printing out, as some colors can be reproduced by a printer.
