I have a desalt model # D55141 compressor it will not shut off ap at 150psi tank pressure?

be very careful. I would take it back to store if still under warranty. If not i would not want to mess around with a faulty compressed tank.

Model ihave a dewalt 2 gal air compresssor model# d55141,compressor keeps runing and pressure builds above 150 p.s.i.doesnt shut off

There is a pressure regulator that is contained in the same housing as the on off switch. Take the housing cover off and see if there is a problem with the mechanics on the switch or the seal is bad.

Why does my compressor just buzz when I turn it on?

that (more than likely) is the starter, but it also may have hit a bad commutator bar... turn off power, turn flywheel 1/8 (or so) of a turn, turn on power.

if it starts, purchase new motor because the commutator/brushes are dirty or shorted.

if it doesn't, replace the starter relay.

D55152, left gage shows 40psi, right gage 100. Whats going on. how can i buy a manual? thanks

The right guage is the actual tank pressure. The left guage is the pressure for the air hose. If you turn the adjustment dial the air pressure guage on the left will go up or down. You should be able to go to the dewalt website and find an owners manual for this compressor. I personally own this compressor and it is a good one.

Dewalt d55141 Builds only 45psi

Check the unloading valve. Accumulation of dirt might be preventing the valve to fully close, by-passing a portion of the compressed air.

Over Pressure

I suggest trying to adjust the pressure switch, however, it is more likely that the pressure switch is bad and will need replaced. These can be purchased at most hardware stores or www.mcmaster.com. After you install it, you will need to readjust it to the pressure it was originally set to so as to not overpressurize the tank. Overpressure is very dangerous so do not use the compressor until it is repaired.
Best wishes!
