When I start the wash cycle of my digital top loader washing machine all the water drains out as fast as it pours in, so need help in finding a solution. The spin cycle works but not the wash or rince. I downloaded the manual but the troubleshooting section refers to various sites that cannot help me as I live in the Dominican Republic.
The washing machine in question is a Samsung digital top loader Model No. WA80n3
Literally same deal, anyone been able to remedy the drain plug issue with any simplified solution? Does it require taking the machine apart, easy to find compartment where the drain plug is? Be a hero and help me (look like I know what I'm talking about in front of my girlfriend). Thanks!

You must make sure the drain hose is above teh water level and not in the water in the "P" trap of the house drain. There must be air to prevent siphoning. The drain hose should not go more than about 12" down in the drain tube.
Front Loading Washing Machine: Fully automatic. 1. Better washing than toploading as technologically proofed. 2. No extra effort except putting cloths and detergent inside.3. No need to observe
in between while washing.Start and forgot. You can go market and come back. 4. No issue if electricity or water went out during washing. 4. Take more water compare to toploading semi-automatic. 5. You can not open it once it started.
Top Loading Washing Machine: Semi 1. Save water and detergent. 2. Need extra effort to put the cloth from one box to another.

If it's really as you described, when draining at the same time filling up, then it's a problem in the main control board. You'll need some electronics knowledge to repair it, or just replace the main board
I have this problem too and I solved it easily !!!!
I hypothesised that something was blocked by dried up lint/silt. So I filled the machine with very hot water and also poured hot water down the lint filter outlets. I left it for 5 minutes and then started a wash cycle - and the water now comes out of the lint filter ducts. ! :-)
does the water pour out when you put the drain hose close to the ground if it does then make sure your pump isnt blocked if it isnt then youll need to replace the pump most pumps have 3 little fins in them if you can stop those fins with a screw driver when pump is going then it deffinatley needs replacing as you cannot fix them sorry for the bad news m8
