Just changed over to fiber optic feed for tv and internet. Internet works great but the tv remotes are unable to mesh and so i must use two remote controls units to control channel and volumne. Need the programming code for the Venturer PVS 3119 19 " LCD TV plus DVD so that I can try to get the remote for the digital TV set top box to reprogram and use the one remote for on off channel change and volumne control.

10GE optical interfaces of a switch cannot work upon a unidirectional fiber connection. A unidirectional fiber connection occurs between two 10GE optical interfaces when one interface is Down because the Rx fiber is removed, while the other interface is still Up because its Rx fiber can receive link_Up signals from the PHY layer.
A switch determines the status of a 10GE optical interface according to the IEEE 802.3ae standard. As defined in this standard, the MAC layer of a 10GE optical can send local_fault and remote_fault signals. A switch can determine the link status based on only the link status of the PHY layer or based on the link status of the PHY layer and the local_fault and remote_fault signals from the MAC layer.
On a Huawei switch, link status of a 10GE optical interface turns Up only when the link status of the PHY layer is Up and both the local_fault and remote_fault signals are 0. When two 10GE optical interfaces are interconnected and the Rx fiber on one interface is removed, this interface goes Down and the MAC layer of the interface generates a local_fault signal. Meanwhile, the local interface sends a fault signal to the remote interface through the Tx fiber. The remote interface receives the link_Up signal from the PHY layer and the remote_fault signal from the MAC layer. Therefore, the link status of the remote interface goes Down.

The LC device has to be able to interface to the Panasonic. With compatible devices, they can talk to each other through the HDMI cables. With the audio, if you want to feed the TV out to the amplifier a fiber optic cable is required.

I guess you are using the audio system as the sound and video routing for the TV. The control protocols between some manufactures of TV's with sound systems will not match. You will need a separate remote for each device.

A solution that may also work is using a universal remote that can do cross control. You can set up this type of remote so the volume control works with the amplifier, and the other controls work with the TV at the same time. Logitch has some very good remotes that will do this, but they are costly.

Hi, Your question is not so clear. For giving the proper solution I need to know something. As per my knowledge a fiber optic cable doesn't connect a router directly without a Media Converter. Secondly please tell me the model number and the brand name of your television. Third do you configure your internet connection on your television through IP address??

only one unit can be the moderm to access the Internet the other has to be a router. (Lan port only). and you cansetup both to have wireless access.
