If your remote keylogger is sending data back to your computer, then by checking the TCP/IP traffic, the remote computer user can see that data is being sent to your IP address. Law enforcement, at least, will be able to connect your IP address with your computer, even if you are dynamically assigned an IP address.

A keylogger is usually used for malicious purposes which is why your antivirus is probably blocking it. There should be an option on Symantec to allow certain things from being blocked. If you can't find that option, look on their website help section, and if you still can't find help, contact them.

That's invasive micromanagement. Don't go there. That's not how to accomplish what you want to accomplish; your kid will hate you, distrust you, and defy you forever.
