Question i had my garmin nuvi pluged in to my work truck which aslo has a gps on it and now im getting a dispatch screen and when i click on the tools link it says safe mood enabled and when i hit the dispatch truck screen on left it also says safe mood enabled can does anyone know what my problem is Thanks for anyhelp

You must call Garmin at 1-800-800-1020 they will walk you through plugging in nuvi to your computer (must have usb cord) and it will upload then go to my computer and choose garmin drive then click garmin folder and either find the folder they say or make new one like I did with the guy on the phone and put in code. The only information needed is the numbers on the bottom of the device.... super fast fix!

Asmany as there are FREE dinners Updates are not free, unless you paid full price for it when you bought it. Free upgrades are a deceptive myth. If you get a free uograde its usually minor and was included in the price of the pack.

Connect your Nuvi to a PC using a USB and then hold the switch to the left for 15 seconds. It should then power up after a soft reset

mine would constantly cycle in the reboot. I had to clear the stored data by pressng and holding the lower right side of the screen and turning on the gps. once it boots up, it will ask if you want to clear the data memory (will not clear the actual maps). say yes, when it reboots, you will have to redo your personal settings as if it was new out of the box.
