You might have to uninstall both the dvd/cd + its drivers then reinstall them actually unplug the cd/dvd from its power cable then restart your computer plug it back in your computer should activate found new hardware or
control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver,roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall

another question sir, is it safe to use 2gig ram and 1gig ram 3gig ram? same clock speed. my harddisk is only 80g.
depending on your motherboard the amount of ram which can be used might vary always put the largest ram closest to the CPU central processing unit and use only one one type/brand of ram

thank you for the assitance, i hav 2g RAM in 1st slot and on the 3rd slot i added another 1g---------with same clock speed(pc2-5300(333MHz) but different brand name.
here is my specs:
Intel Pentium E2160(dual core)
450watts power supply
3g RAM
80g HDD
DVD-RW rom
NVIDIA Geforce 9500GT
4core dual-SATA2(motherboard)
i would like to know if my power supply is enough to support the CPU? i haven't encounter problem yet but i want to make sure. Thanks you
