I bought a LG Shine CU 720 cell and want it to Bluetooth connect to a Motorola B8917N Auto Handsfree unit and a VTech Home Wireless phone. When I set up the unit initially, it found both units / connected and worked well for ~2 weeks then but then it couldnt find them. If I took out the battery if would find them again but would not find once disconnected. I called ATT and they said they only warranty the units bluetooth with a headset but sent be another phone (refurbished) and the same thing happens but this time from the get go. Is there a fix? Is this unique to this phone or do other phones have similar problems (should I get another ATT cell and if so what ones have great Bluetooth). I really only use the phone as a phone (dont text or go online etc) but its my only phone (dont have a land line at home). Help !
This model seems to have a known Bluetooth issue. the installed Bluetooth stack is not very robust. I would recommend going in for one of the newer Nokia models. Although you may be able to fix the issue with your LG phone, you will keep facing issues along the way. Basically to need to upgrade the Bluetooth software on your phone.
I would recommend going in for a more sturdy phone like the Nokia N73 or later, rather than attempt a fix..
I hve heard this problem from many others 4 this particular model n i hve not come across any fix 4 this model until now.its a manufacturers fault with this particular model.it is advisable to buy the other phone with the previous good track record as many latest models r having this problem.feel free for any further assistance.rate this solution as fixya if it helps u anyway.thanks bye

Your bluetooth model number may not be on the list of sets acceptable to your phone. Call a service center that works on your brand and ask them. Please post this as helpful if it is. TY
1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1. 3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device 4.Select your bluetooth (i dont know your bluetooth model no.) once a connection is detected. 5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made. 6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".
Tips: 1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset. 2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On". 3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".
please give good rating if the solution works. Thanks for using FixYa.
I have been having the same problem with my 720 trying to reconnect to a bluetooth. I have purchased a Plantronics 220 and also a Motorola one. My phone will connect one time, and shortly after my test call, it will disconnect on its own, and I cannot get it connected back. I thought it was the bluetooths messing up but actually it is my phone. I have contacted LG about this problem and they told me I would have to send my phone back so they can take a look at it. So you may want to call them and put in Another Complaint.
Push and hold both vol(+) and vol (-) at the same time for approx 2 secs. The headset will falsh green and red lights. Get your phone to search for bluetooth devices. It should find the headset. Enter pairing code 1234 in phone. Done
