Question about Philips Televison & Video
I made the same mess myself. The way to get around it is to program blind - meaning that you do not get to see the screen to see whether what you did is right or not.
Put on the device. Press system key, press arrow key until you hit video, press ok, scroll down one key press and then press ok. You should start getting a coherent picture and then you may finetune.

On the phillips Dvd turn on the device get the tray open press button arrow to the right and mute on the control.With this the scan get deactivated.Good luck
