Omnitech Wireless Weather Station model 16870-US... the sensor unit shows temperature as LL.L... how do I get this unit to display temperature again??? I have replaced batteries, have waited 10-min with batteries out, have poked reset hole. No change.

Generally this means the value is lower than the allowable range.

HOWEVER, it will also be displayed if your remote sensor and your station are no different channels. If my equivalent sensor is on CH1 and my Station is on CH3, then the outside temp will display LL.L

Interestingly enough, the Wind Chill temp still displays right.

I have a Ken-Tech weather station T-4639. It didn't come with any instructions. The base is not receiving the signal from the outside unit. Both units are set to the same channel. I pressed the TEST button on the remote unit but nothing happened.

Push and hold down the channel button, wait for beep, then on the sensor, push and hold the tx button, wait for beep.

I finally got mine to working by reading all the answers from everyone and tried everything except the reset buttons which I didn't know was inside the sensor, and holding the channel button down until the beep.. Finally I replaced the new batteries in the sensor with a different set of new batteries. Voila! It now works.

I had tried everything I could figure out, how to get the outside temperature and humidity to work again. After reading all of the answers from everyone I found out about the reset holes in each and also about holding the channel button down until it beeped. Still didn't work. Finally I changed the new batteries in the sensor for a different set of new batteries and it immediately started working again. Just saying, just because the batteries are new doesn't mean they are good batteries. Thank you evertyone for your answers. I had been struggling with getting this unit to work correctly for two months, off and on.

Why can't I receive input from the outside sending unit?

Make sure that all the batteries are good!!
This procedure outlines the typical process to pair the sensor and base.
Base Station Battery Installation

·Remove the printed vinyl label from the LCD screen of the base station
·Position the remote sensor near the base station
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the base station and insert (2) AA batteries according to the polarity markings. Replace the battery compartment cover.
·Within a short time the RF signal icon (located to the left of the outdoor temperature channel indicator) will start flashing. This indicates that the base station is ready to pick up the RF outdoor temperature signal from the remote sensor. It will continue to flash for 3 minutes or until the signal from the remote sensor is detected.

Register the Remote Sensor
·Open the battery compartment at the back of the remote sensor and slide the channel selector switch to your desired channel. For the first remote you may select any channel, for additional remotes select any unused channel
·Insert (2) AAA batteries according to the polarity markings. Be sure to install the batteries in the remote within the time that the RF signal icon is flashing on the base station. 1541 WeatherGuide Wireless Weather Forecaster with Barometer

The sensor from my weather station is not registering outside temperature

I've had the same problem since I bought this unit 2+ years ago; when the outside temperature moves into the freezing zone, the sensor stops transmitting. I contacted Lacrosse-- all they could suggest was change the batteries. My solution: throw it in the trash!

Cannot get the weather station model ws-916ou-it to show outside temperature

I have three of these WS-916OU-IT units. After a few years, the outside sensor just fails. You will get dashes and a "TR" low battery signal, even if the batteries are good
just buy another whole weather station (short money) and set both the old and new weather station unit to receive from the single new outdoor sensor.
To do this - just follow the procedure for a single sensor - that is - put the batteries in the new sensor - then within 30 seconds - put the batteries in all the weather stations - they will all pick up the same outdoor sensor.
I now have three units running off of one outdoor sensor.
Seems a bit silly, but it works.
