My remote control (SKY-3001) doesn't seem to communicate with the propane stove.
Sounds like either the batteries are weak or it's lost it's security code. Also, be sure the slide switch on the front of the receiver (the Black Box) is in the Remote position. If after changing ALL the batteries (4-AA in the receiver and 2-AAA in the hand held remote) and they're all positioned properly and it still doesn't work, check the LCD screen to see if the child lock or lock out has been activated. If so, deactivate by pressing the Mode button and the Up button at the same time and hold for 2 seconds. The Lockout icon should disappear.
And finally, if all else fails you'll need to reset the security code. There are 1,048,576 unique security codes, but you'll need only one.
When matching security codes, be sure the slide switch is placed in the REMOTE position; the code will not "LEARN" if the slide switch is in the ON or OFF position. Program the remote receiver to learn a new security code by using a very small scree driver to push in the LEARN button (on the top of the fron of the receiver to the left over the ON position) while at the same time pressing the MODE button on the hand held transmitter. A change in the beeping pattern, at the receiver, indicates the transmitters code has been programmed into the receiver.
The microprocessor that controls the security code matching procedures controlled by a timing function. If you are unsuccessful inmatching the securiy code on the first attempt, wait 1-2 minutes before trying again - this delay allows the microprocessor to reset its timer circuitry and try up to two or three more times

In the meantime, if you want or need to use your gas log stove for supplemental heating, move the slide switch to the ON position and the burner(s) will light. That's assuming that the gas control valve on the gas log stove is turned to the PILOT position. To turn it off, move the slide switch to the OFF Position and the burners will go out and the pilot will remain burning.
Good luck. Please let me know how it worked out for you.
