My blacberry pearl 8100 ,red light on no screen, any help

Hi,

When experiencing red light problem in your phone, the first thing to do is checking the battery if its still working fine, might need a replacement as well.

* If the problem is still the same after changing it with a new one, this can be a software problem and need to update phone firmware using a suite application like BB Desktop manager.

To proceed with this method, follow this link and it will help you how to update your phone software.

Got a new blackberry pearl will not charge is it

Try a different charger (like your car charger instead of your home charger) - make sure while it's plugged in - the display shows that the charger is charging it, blinking - or bars going up or down, or a thunderbolt on the display screen next to the battery power symbol etc

Once you know your charger is working, its probably easiest to find someone else with a BB and ask them if you can trade them batteries for a day to see if it's a bad battery. ( You can usually buy a battery for $5 on ebay, or up to $20 in a cell phone store)

All in all, trade someone for their battery, or their charger - if you dont wanna buy one at first. See if the problem follows your old battery etc..

And if neither solve your problem then its the BB itself. I have called in to the cell company before and let them know we have a BB that will not hold a charge no matter what battery or charger I use... and they usually replace it under warranty as long as its less than 12 months old, and the white squares in the battery compartment are still white.

New BB 8130 Pearl phn and new battery and its been charging

Remove the battery, then remove the Memory card and Sim card (if you have a sim card). Then replace battery. Try this. If this does not work, while off try connecting the device to your pc, through bb desktop software. If the device STILL does not turn on or your pc does not recognize it, you may have a hardware problem.

Blackberry pearl wont switch on

It looks battery completly drained and dead (as It took so much time), the best way first to check "Circuit" status in Battery through Voltmeter (poles)..or another way go to any cell phone shop and give a trial with another batterty to check status of your unit.

My Blackberry curve 8320 won't turn on it just has a battery icon with a red line through it on screen. A new battery was tried and the problem still exists.

This usually means the bb and battery got a little wet or has other issues. Try these solutions in order. They go from easisest to hardest. NOTE: If you have an insurance policy on the bb probably best just to take it in.

1. Remove the back cover. Remove the battery and the SIM card. Wait 30 seconds. Replace SIM, battery and back cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

2. If that doesn't work, allow the bb to remain unplugged but ON for about 24 hours to drain the battery. Remove back cover and battery. Allow battery and opened bb to sit in a dry environment for 24 - 36 hours. Relace battery and cover. Reboot. Plug in the bb and charge fully.

3. If that fails, retry step 2 but allow battery to FULLY drain then dry out again.

4. Take in to cell store.

4. Take in.

My bb parl 8100

I had this happen to me within the first couple weeks of owning my first Blackberry Pearl and the phone had to be replaced. It was a factory problem with the first software version I believe.
