When i connected cybershot dsc t70 memory stick to my pc using card reader i am unable to see the images in it..which is possible directly in camera to view please help me in this

Hi,

You firstly need to verify your camera is reading the Memory Stick properly in the camera.
There should be a memory stick logo next to the amount of pictures you can take on your screen
If you are positive your Mem Stick is working and pictures are on there then Check
your MyPictures area on your System or your MyDocuments Area. You can
access these areas by clicking on your MYComputer Icon.

If you think the pictures never transfered then remove the stick from the PC and re-insert it. Try this a couple times. Sometimes the PC for whatever reason will not read the card and a simple Reboot usually clears up the problem.

Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H9

Hi,
The camera may display a MEMORY STICK ERROR or C:13:xx message (xx can be any random number) on the LCD screen for the following reasons:
IMPORTANT: If model-specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are available online in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty section of the Sony® eSupport Web site.
  1. Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick® media several times.
  2. The inserted Memory Stick media is not compatible with the camera. Check your instruction manual for information regarding Memory Stick media compatibility.
  3. The inserted Memory Stick media is not formatted. Format the Memory Stick media using the FORMAT option in the camera menu. WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Formatting will erase all stored data, images, movies, etc., from the Memory Stick media.
  4. The terminals on the Memory Stick media are dirty. Remove the Memory Stick media from the camera and use a soft dry cloth or pencil eraser to clean the contacts. Make sure there are no residual particles on the Memory Stick media before re-inserting it into the camera.
  5. The data on the Memory Stick media or the Memory Stick media itself is damaged. Try using a different Memory Stick media in the camera.

Thanks

How to use the memory card reader

To access the memory card reader without using the software provided, follow the steps below. If no card is inserted, the green light on the card reader will be on.
Insert a memory card.
• Insert the card with the brand name label facing up.
• If there is an arrow on the card, make sure it points toward the printer.
• If needed, make sure you connect the memory card to the adapter that came with it before inserting it into
the slot.
Wait for the light located to the right of the slots on the printer to come on. The light blinks to indicate the memory
card is being read or is transmitting data.
• The printer recognizes one memory card at a time. If you insert more than one memory card, a message appears
on the display prompting you to remove all memory cards inserted.
• If a USB flash drive is inserted together with the memory card, a message appears on the display prompting you
to choose which memory device to use.
When reading of images is complete, the number of photos found appears on the display. Then you can make your selection and print. these are the types of memory card supported by you printer.

Sony Memory Stick PRO Duo Not reading

Get a USB card reader, insert the memory card into the card reader and then connect the card reader into the USB port of your computer.
The computer will see the memory as an external memory device, now you can view the data/images and copy them to your computer.

Sony CX-12 Camcorder gives message when memory stick inserted

Hi!
This is a feature and not a defect of the CX-12 that reminds the user that the memory stick inserted might not be able to record the data from the camera effectively. HD video requires a memory stick with a relatively fast data read/write speed, and the CX-12 recommends not using any other stick that is not Mark 2.
Fortunately, though, as you have found out, it does not affect the camera's ability to record in non-Mark 2 sticks.
Hope this helps!

"Memory card cannot be read"

My camera used to do the same thing--once I got the pictures off my card, I left it in the card reader, right clicked on removable media (my computer + removable storage) chose to "format" and formatted it on my computer. It seems to have fixed the problem, and my camera now reads it fine. I tried to format it on the camera before, but it didnt work.
