I can hear callers but they cannot hear me. Mute is not engaged,

Please see the link below for the User's Guide.

• Headset is muted. Long press (3 sec.) the volume down button on headset to unmute the microphone. See page 16.
• Improper positioning of voice tube. Try various other positions.
• Voice tube may be clogged. Remove voice tube and test to see if callers can hear you without it. If they can, then replace the clogged voice tube. See page 18.
• Speaking volume is too low. Increase the speaking volume by
adjusting the speaking volume minor adjust buttons on the base unit as described on page 16. If the volume is still too low, select another speaking volume major adjust setting as described on page 16.
• Incorrect configuration dial setting for your phone. Try other
phone configuration dial settings on the base unit. Ensure the
selected number is in line with the position indicator. See page 14.

I have a Nuvi 650 which seems to be muted. How do I get it to talk again?

1.
  • Press the volume, the speaker icon at the bottom right of the screen showing WHERE TO and VIEW MAP
  • On the volume screen there's a tick box for MUTE. If it's ticked press it and the tick will be removed. The satnav should then not be muted.
2. If this doesn't solve the problem it may be that the voice file is corrupted.
  • Press TOOLS
  • Press SETTINGS
  • Press LANGUAGE
This brings you to a screen with VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
Press VOICE and select another English speaking voice. This may solve the problem.

3. If you don't have another English speaking voice;

  • Download the latest version of Webupdater from http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27 and install it to your computer
  • Connect your satnav to your computer and run the Webupdater program
  • Webupdater will find any software updates for your satnav. Install them. When the installation is complete it will find optional updates including voices. Select some English speaking voices and download them to your satnav.
  • After you have disconnected your satnav from the computer you'll need to select a voice again as described in paragraph 2 above.

One channel muted until the volume is turned up

This problem is usually dur to some corrosion in the speaker relay. If the relay can be opened, burnish the contacts and you should be OK. The higher volume creates a higher voltage that can "jump the gap" so to speak. Once the connection is made it will remain. That is why lowering the volume will work.

Hi when i speak with the microphone i dont lisnt to my voice i think its a problem with my voice card i have a dell6400 is there a solution for that

Everything may be working fine except the settings. Click open the Volume icon from the system tray and check if the mic is muted (most likely it is muted as Windows has a habit of muting it on its own). So, unmute it abd listen to yourself.

Volume

Go to the control panel and make sure the sound properties are correct. Make sure the volume isnt muted. Go to the Device Manager and make sure the sound driver is present under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
You need a little more description than, 'no volume coming to speaks'. What have you tried so far?
Make sure the cord is plugged into the proper jack....the pale green one...
