Does the phone base receiver also have power? If so, then it sounds like a phone wire may have been cut. How extensive was this electrical work? If an electrician cut your phone wire by mistake they should take care of the problem at no charge.

To eliminate any problems with your cordless phone, try plugging in a standard phone where your cordless unit is to see if the line works.

Do the KX-TG68xx series phones really have Power Back-Up Operation feature?

No, the KX-TG68XX phones do not work during a power failure. See page 12 of the user manual available on the product support page: https://www.panasonic.com/middleeast/en/support/product-archive/telephones-home-security/telephone/cordless/kx-tg6822.html . The current link to the manual is http://www.panasonic.ae/EN/Manuals/KX-TG6822.pdf . There are some cordless phones that allow the base to be powered by a handset. I've seen this with some AT&T cordless phone systems but do not remember any Panasonic models with all cordless handsets with the feature. A base with a corded handset will work without power for basic calls. Panasonic has a few models with the corded/cordless combination.

I hope this helps.

Call forwarding

Assuming your telephone service provider offers the call forwarding service, yes. The procedure varies from company to company, but often you dial *72 from the landline, then the number to which you want the calls forwarded. That phone will then ring, and you must answer the call to confirm. To cancel the call forwarding, dial *73 from the landline.

If this doesn't work, contact your telephone service provider for their instructions regarding call forwarding.

Our phone its not working

If the other phones are not working, then I assume the base unit does not have power to it. So check the power supply to make sure it has proper voltage with a volt meter, I think there's a battery pack underneath also to check. Otherwise, you can contact the retailer where you bought for repair instructions.

Line in use

You have a blown component in the machine, pretty common, bet it happened after a storm passed through. Its shorted and always keeps the phone "off hook" which allows one phone call once you plug it in, but it will always be busy if left plugged in and is called. I can only recommend sending it somewhere for repair. Try googling "cordless telephone repair" for your best options.
