No output to speakers mackie 808s power mixer

If you are experiencing an issue where the QSC RMX 1450 amplifier is not giving any sound when connected to the main output of your Mackie 16 OK mixer, but works when connected to the aux send, here are some possible causes and solutions:

Get a plug cable and work the plug in and out of all INSERT or BYPASS jacks. These get rusty and interrupt signals.
If that is a no, open up and check power supply voltages and all cable connectors, might have been vibration and something got loose...

you need a power amplifier between the mixer and the speakers to actually drive the speakers. You would have to choose which amp to use (the manual, found here: http://www.bose.ca/controller?url=/shop_online/speakers/stereo_speakers/acoustimass_5/index.jsp#manuals suggests between 10-200 WRMS for power), and thus would have to determine the cabling options depending on the amp you choose, but...go from either the MAIN or CONTROL ROOM outputs of the Mackie mixer into the inputs of the power amp. Then go from the outputs of the power amp to the inputs on the Acoustimass bass module, which also runs the Acoustimass satellite speakers.

Balanced audio interconnects (either XLR or TRS cables from the mixer and then balanced audio interconnects from the amp daisy chain inputs to the existing speaker inputs. If the amps do not have linked input jacks, then use TRS type WYE connectors at the inputs. Then use speaker rated cables from the amps to the passive speakers.

The Peavey XR8600 is NOT just an amp, but a powered mixer.

To SAFELY use this with your powered speakers, connect those speakers to the MAIN and MONITOR outputs on the front of the unit with 1/4 inch INSTRUMENT rated cables (NOT speaker cables).

To safely leave the power amps in the XR8600 with no output loads, plug GROUNDING plugs into the POWER AMP 1 and 2 input jacks on the front. This will prevent the power amps in the XR8600 from running with no load which COULD damage them.

Make the grounding plugs from 1/4 inch mono plugs by jumpering the centr aand sleeve terminals of the plug.

Try a couple things
Try plugging the player directly into one of the stereo channels using correct cables (just go to Radio Shack or someplace like that) - you'll probably have to get a stereo to mono "Y" adapter that terminates in two mono mini or 1/4 inch male jacks ... if mini, then upsize them with another adapter ... it's not as rigged as it "sounds" ...
The benefit is, it is actually simpler and you will be able to use all of the channel strip controls for the player just as you would for a mic or guitar plugged in to a channel, and the volumes will behave more as you expect them to ...
Just be absolutely sure the cable you assemble is correct, meaning stereo single 1/4" (or whatever it is, two RCA's whatever) going into the player, and terminating on the other end with two MONO 1/4 inch jacks ...
I use this kind of "Y" connector to play my iPhone through my 808s and it works very well, and I have full control and no confusion.
I'm not sure what you mean by running your player through the "aux in" on the front of the 808s - there are different versions of this mixer, but mine doesn't have anything labeled "aux in" - if you mean the tape inputs on the right front ... RCA jacks ... that should also work, but I prefer just using the normal input channels ...
For example, use input 8 - it's labeled "mic 8" - but if you use the two 1/4" jacks above the Canon jack the mixer will automatically adjust to line level ... on my 808s these 1/4" jacks say "stereo mic/line" ...

Also, I would bypass the effects section completely unless you need it and understand how it works ... and
Make sure the "Power Amp Routing" switch is in the correct position ... since you are using mains and monitors you probably want the "mono" position, which disables the stereo outputs and instead uses one of the power amps for the mains and the other for the monitors ... on my 808s this is the "in" position
On the back, you'll use the speaker outputs labeled "left/main" to go to the main speakers and "right/monitor" to go to the monitor speakers
It's actually pretty simple - with the Power Amp Routing switch pushed in, you no longer have stereo, so ignore "left and right" on those speaker outputs, and follow the labels for "main" and "monitor" .....

you can just piggyback the mixers - take the outputs from the mackie mixer (assuming it is NOT a powered mixer) ... those should be line level outputs - send them into a line level input on the digi 002 and then set that channel on the digi 002 and once set, just leave it, and control the mackie channels individually ... should work fine ...

The RSQ player goes into the input section of the mixer.
The mixer effect send goes to the Quadraverb input and the output of the Quadraverb goes back to the effect in on the mixer. Now the Main out on the mixer goes to the EQ then the EQ goes to the compressor/limitor to power amp to speakers.

probably blew the amps or the pre amp section

I reckon there is a good chance you've got a dodgy mains transformer, or perhaps a blown internal fuse. Sounds very much like the problem is on the AC input board.
