Running triple channel memory with more than 3 DDR3 1600 sticks installed (4-6) cuts the memory speed in half. you have to run with 3 sticks at a time in triple channel mode or you will see a reduction in ram speeds.

OCZ is making some good 4 gig ram sticks. they have a 12 gig triple channel memory kit with 3x4gig sticks. you could get 2 of these kits and have your 6 sticks- 24 gigs total, but your memory frequencies will be lower- your ram access will be slower.

Computor is slow

Many of these only came with 4 gigabytes of RAM memory. You need more with Windows 8 and 8.1. You can get another 4 gig of DDR3 Memory and put it in the open memory socket next to the 4 gig you have.

If you are referring to computer RAM always put the largest ram module closest the CPU central processing unit

try to keep the same brand and type of ram the same ie: ddr ddr3.......
you will be able to read the ram type on the ram already inside

make sure you secure the ram modules by pressing the levers down firmly at both ends of of there sockets

make sure your computer is turned of before you attempt this
be sure to wear an earth strap before touching anything inside your computer
the ram modules sockets are located near your cpu

If you're not sure if a module is right for your system, use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules.

I have a acer aspire predator g7750 i have installed already 2times2 4gb samsung ddr3 i want to install 12gb ddr3 ram want ram is compatible with this pc is it better to repair all the ram or install extra...

According to the technical specifications of your computer you should be able to install another 4 gigabyte Samsung DDR3 ram stick, there are some pros and cons, if you have 3 modules of 4 gigabytes each memory operations are a little bit slower, but if you have problems with any of them you can take it out and problem solved. the other case is getting a single 12 GB module, The pro is memory operations will be slightly faster, the contra is if your memory module fails, you will have to get a whole new module to replace the damaged one.

I would play safe and buy another 4gb module and install it, try to buy the same brand and speed to avoid compatibility problems.

Have a nice day.

Have a look at the BIOS settings, the built-in video card may be grabbing 1Gb for video RAM. The video card uses shared RAM (part of the main RAM module/s). You can change the video RAM allocation in the BIOS.

I want to upgrade my ram for my pc...atmost to how much i can upgrade and in each slot individually how much capacity of ram it supports ...my motherboard is 915glvg

i would like to inform you that *********** board supports upto 4 gb ram and 2 gb in 2 slots will be the best combination but depends on the OS you are using if its 32 bit XP or Vista it wont accept more than 3 gb so if you wish to use your system in full throttle mode upgrade you r OS to 64 bit XP or Vista and enjoy all 4gb standards that you actually wish to but even 3 gb is like playing with wild fire that will be really too fast processing speed and thrilling performance that you expect.

thanks and regards
