First you will need to open up the ps3 and take the hardrive out there are some good videos on youtube to show you how to do this.
Uplug the ps3 from the mains and take the harddrive out, power on the unit without the harddrive. Switch off at the back, blow away any dust inside the unit and replace the the hardrive and put the ps3 back together. Switch on at the back press and hold the power button in the front for about 30 secs this should reset your ps3, turn off at the back again, leave for a few minutes; about ten, then switch it on at the back; and then in the front, hopfully this should fix your problem. Good luck and post back what happens.
