I have a Honeywell Enviracaire Furnance humidifier. It started leaking a lot. When I looked inside, the filter was really badly corroded. I replaced the filter and hooked it up again. It still leaks at the bottom.

SOURCE: Water flow through humidifier

The solenoid that turns on the water to the unit should not change the water flow, so you should get the same amount of water that flows into the solenoid. If you want less water, you can partially close the valve at the water source.

SOURCE: Humidifier leaks

My Air-O-Swiss U7142 has a leak from the very bottom. I found that as long as the water flows on to the "pan" that evaporizes the water, the water will come out from the bottom. Does anybody know how to fix this?

SOURCE: cleaning a furnace humidifier steel filter?

Most water panels are generally replaced once a year on flow through humidifiers.

SOURCE: water keeps running into humidifier even furnance blower is not

This sounds like, the 550 transformer is not connected to the blower motor power connection (in parallel)

SOURCE: need to replace the hb1 valve (mfg part mh26533)

Put the humidifier number, not the solenoid number, into Google or directly at www.appliancefactoryparts.com . They show a breakdown of the humidifier and let you order replacement parts. I've just ordered the solenoid assembly, which they say is in stock.

No Water Flow to Honeywell Enviracaire HE225A1006 Humidifier

I have same problem with no water flow on identical humidifier but was able to fix it. Removed the inlet to the solenoid valve and found (1) a small taper mesh filter inside (2) a small diameter orifice that was clogged. Cleaned the miniature filter and used a sewing needle to open the orifice and now works perfectly.

Honeywell HE220A water not reaching humidifier

Replace the Valve on the unit. Check the small filter inside of it where the waterline attaches first. If its clear and you have lots of flow from the 1/4" line the replace the valve.

Continous ware flow on Honeywell HE220A Humidifier

I am having the same problem. I have had my humidifier for about 5 years now and I just started having the problem where the water continuously flows through the solenoid. I took apart the solenoid by removing the fittings from both sides. When I did that, I noticed that there was a hole in the metal that allowed me to see through to the other side. Apparently, it had corroded and and broken through, allowing the water to pass through the solenoid without really going through the valve within the solenoid. There are several sites that sell replacements for about $70, which is not cheap, but cheaper than buing a new humidifier for $120. Here is one site I found: http://www.iaqsource.com/product.php/honeywell/32001639-002/?product=112783&category=1142

Water flow through humidifier

I installed this humidifier (and had a lot of trouble installing it!) and was surprised by the flow of water. Mine leaks out of the bottom of the unit so I haven't actually used it yet. I'll try to figure out why it's leaking this weekend. I thought there would be less water flowing through the pad. I suspect that the weight of the unit is causing it to not be plumb so some water is dripping off of the pad and past the drain tray.
