Resetting Your Player To Factory Settings

Follow the steps below to reset your player. Resetting the player reverts all settings back to factory default meaning the network settings must be reconfigured after the reset is performed.

1. Turn on your player and remove any discs wait until the front display reads No Disc
2. Hold down the FF button on your BD player not your remote until the front display reads Reset about 8 sec and the player turns off.
3. Press the power button to turn your player on. The Menu language selection screen appears, using the number buttons on your Blu ray remote select your language
   

The e-contents menu is displayed. Your player has been successfully reset. It is not required to scan the Player with the Anti Virus Software. If you have the backup of all the songs in the Computer, then I suggest that you reset the Walkman. You can reset the Player using the Reset All Settings option from the Initialize option from the Settings menu of the Player.
Resetting the Player will not delete the songs or files from the Walkman Player.
Once you reset the Player, then you can select the Format option from the same Initialize Menu of the Walkman Player if required. Formatting the Player will delete all the files from the Player and all the values of the settings retured to the default values.

To reset your player, use a thin pointed object such as a paper clip to press the reset hole on the back or bottom of your device. If your player is malfunctioning while connected to the PC, reset the player while it's connected.

To reset the Walkman Player, press the RESET button located near the Strap hole using a sharp pointed object like ball point pen etc. When you turn on the Player after resetting, the Player reactivates the previously set items.
Make sure that you're not resetting the Player while operating the Player, as this may delete the stored files and settings.

get a paper clip,needle, toothpick. Look for the reset hole on the player. Turn the player on and press the reset. Let go of the reset.

Have you reset the player? Reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch.
If this doesn't help try this: Connect your player to the pc that has the Philips device manager running, then reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch. As soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume- - (minus) switch. The Philips device manager will recognize the player now, and recommend a repair, let it do so.
