Performing a SOFT reset on the BlackBerry device Performing a soft reset stops all applications on the BlackBerrydevice by pressing the ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE keys. A soft resetre-establishes communication between the BlackBerry device and thecomputer.
Note: This does not apply to the BlackBerry® Pearl™ smartphone.
Performing a DOUBLE-SOFT reset on the BlackBerry device Performing a double-soft reset stops all applications on theBlackBerry device and is nearly the equivalent of a hard reset. Timinghowever is critical. Perform a soft reset by pressing the ALT+RIGHTSHIFT(CAP)+DELETE keys. The screen will go blank. When the screen is nolonger black, press the ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE keys again. Youshould then see another blank screen followed by an hour glass.
Note: This does not apply to the BlackBerry® Pearl™ smartphone.
Performing a HARD reset on the BlackBerry device The first step in troubleshooting a network, software or hardware error is often to perform a hard reset. With Java® based devices, thisis accomplished by removing the battery, while the BlackBerry device ispowered on. Hold the battery out for about 30 seconds, and replace. TheBlackBerry device will reboot.
Note: A hard reset on a C++ based device is accomplished by pressing the Reset button.
Note: To perform a hard reset on a RIM models 850, 857, 950,or 957 device, insert the end of a paperclip inside the small hole onthe back of the handheld.

Konka r8a phone wont turn on only about 4 months old

I found this information in the manual.
"If your phone hangs or freezes, we recommend that you do a "soft" reset instead of a hard/factory reset. To perform a soft reset, remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, and then re-install it. After re-installing the battery, turn on the phone."

If this doesn't fix the issue you can try a hard reset. A hard reset would erase all information and data on your phone.

How do i factory reset a coby kyros mid8024?

There are two methods of reset Coby Kyros MID8024:
1. Soft Reset
2. Hard Reset

Steps for Soft Reset:
  • Take out the battery.
  • Reinsert the battery.
  • Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
That's soft reset. If your device doesn't load after this, try hard reset.

Steps for Hard Reset:
  • Switch off the device.
  • Press and hold Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key.
  • After 2-3 seconds, release the Power Key.
  • You will enter boot screen, Select Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
  • Select Yes.
This will delete all the files including apps, personal data stored in phone memory. Don't worry it doesn't wipe off the SD Card so you should make a backup of your files stored in phone memory.

What is the unlocking code for a Kyocera Hydro Life..model #6035?

Resetting the phone If the phone does not respond to taps or key presses with the flip either
open or closed, you may need to perform a reset.
There are two types of resets-soft resets and hard resets. In a soft reset,
all records and entries are saved. In a hard reset, all records and entries

previously synchronized using a HotSync operation.
To perform a soft reset

Open
1. Turn the Kyocera smartphone over. Open
the battery door on the back of the phone.
2. Press the reset button with the stylus.
3. Replace the battery door. Turn the phone

PTT SCREEN HAS UNABLE TO ADD CONTACT MESSAGE:

I had this problem and we needed to contact our cellular company to verify settings. After some time looking into the problem they said it was a hardware malfunction and swapped phones for us. I think there must be a solution to this problem that the cell representatives did not know about.
