You can find many different stainless steel (as well ascolors, designs, seasonal, etc...) at www.applianceart.com. They have stainless metal and faux stainless that was featured on HGTV and the Today Show.

Stainless steel door insert for a Hotpoint dishwasher

YOu definitely need to try www.applianceart.com. They have many dishwasher covers as well as the stainless metal panels that you can just slip into the door. Give them a try, who knows? you may want to put your own face on your dishwasher...they do that too!

I just purchased a G.E. dishwasher with a black front panel that is glossy. My daughter used a mister clean sponge to clean it and is now full of scratches, is there anything I can use on it to get them...

Once paint is scratched it is scratched. There are cheap and inexpensive ways to cover that panel with a glossy black, or even stainless or white, or whatever. Go to www.applianceart.com, they have a ton of options to help your dishwasher getting back to its new look....and give your daughter a break, she was just trying to help :)

First, here are some tips to help with your model number: look for an aluminum tag--or a silver or white adhesive label. The model number may be printed or stamped onto the tag and it may be written in two different type sizes or styles. You might find the tag in one of these places:

Inside the door jamb, to the left, right, or top
On the door, to the left, right or top

On most dishwashers the front panel is removable/replaceable. You can try www.coastparts.com or www.marcone.com .

Replacement Door Panel for GE Profile Dishwasher

Are you trying to replace the microwave door or the GE dishwasher. Either way, www.applianceart.com (under the stainless steel section) has this roll of stainless material that you apply to your appliances. I saw it on the "Today Show." Its basically faux stainless. We put it on our refrigerator and it looks and even feels like real stainless steel. Its really cool. I think its called stainless foil or something like that. Also if you're looking for a stainless panel for your dishwasher they sell actual stianless panels there too.

model numbers for dishwashers are generally where you can get to from the front, if they are noit on the front panel then look inside the door rim where the rubber seal is, either a small sticker on the door rim itself (inside) or where the door fits on the main cabinet, open the door fully to look for this sticker, sometimes placed under the front of the lid

For your particular model, the panel is only available in white, black and almond. However, they do make an adhesive paper that looks like stainless steel and might work for you. I found one link where they carry it, but you could research it further online if you think this solution might work for you. Click here to see what it looks like.
