The recommendation of the manufacturer is to replace the ICs with the same part number. In this case, use hte STK 392-110. Some people "upgrade" to the STK 302-150 because it can handle more power. The added power handling will not significantly increase the time of the set at all. This is your call. Either IC will work as the pin-out is the same for both.

I'd use the original part number.

I have a jvc av48wp30 tv and need a wire diagram

Looking the convergence board from the side of the resistors (The chips will be behind the resistors), you have from de left to right:

1.5 ohms, 150ohms, 220ohms, 2.2ohms, 3.3 ohms, 220ohms, 1.8ohms, 220ohms, 150ohms, 150ohms, 1.5ohms, and dispose horizontal in relation of the other resistors (the one near to the Ic is 2.2ohms and the other is 220ohms).

Hope this helps...

JVC AV48WP30 convergence ic

I'm in the process of trying to replace both convergence IC's in my JVC also. I was able to buy both IC's (they look like black semi-rectangular components with 20 pins sticking out...like a computer chip only much bigger) at a TV repair shop for about $15 each. They were clearly labed STK392-110 (but could be 150 or 180 if you wanted to upgrade).

JVC AV48WP30 Rear Projection TV

There are a number of different STK type parts. You need to look on the old ones for the part numbers. May have to dissassemble the heatsink to see the number. STK is pretty good about its numbers and you should have no trouble finding them.
