With the printer facing you, open the scanning unit cover by pulling upwards until it locks into place leaving the top of the printer accessible.

If you dont know what the "scanning unit cover" is, let me help you locate it. Look at the place where your paper comes out after printing. It should be straight down and in front of you if your standing in front of the printer. Right above the paper tray, is the plastic top of the printer which is called the "scanning unit cover". Put your finger under the cover and lift upward. The top should lift easily. Pull upward until it locks and remains open exposing the inside of your printer.

When the cover opens and locks it will automatically trigger the carriage which holds the printer cartridges to move to the center and stop.

Put your finger under the plastic tab on top of the cartridge that you want to change and pull upwards to release it. Pull the cartridge out, open the new one and remove the tape to open the ink flow. Put the cartridge in and push it down and close it into place.

Close the scanning unit cover and watch the digital read out on the printer to see if you installed the cartridge correctly. If you did, the printer will recognize the new ink cartridge and tell you to print a test page to align the print heads. When the alignment page prints you are finished and your printer is ready to go.

Hey kencfrancis,
I actually bought magnetic versacheck ink refill kit at Office Max. Don't know if they have this chain where u live though.I remember I had to purchase a versacheck kit or packet. It had a variety of check styles included with the black ink only. I found it in their clearance isle. Killer deal @ around $25.cause the ink refill and the blank checks cost over $25 individually. Hope this helps.

How do I know how much ink is left in my c3135 printer

Welcome to Fixya.

Here's how to determine the ink levels for your inkjet printer :

HPC3135 Ink Level check

Please see my additional reminders :
  • If the printing quality diminishes, it's a good time to check your ink levels.
  • Change your cartridge often for good printing quality.
  • If you refill the cartridge, the ink level indicator may not be accurate.
  • Don't wait until the last minute to change your cartridge.
Thanks for using Fixya.

Where does the ink cart. go for a cbm 1000?

Do you actually have an ink cartridge for a citizen cbm 1000 ? Because as far as I know they are all thermal printers that do not use ink cartridges they use heat sensitive paper. Which is why they are used in retail as they don't have to change ink cartridges as well as paper and are much more reliable.

My printer shows "offline". How do I get it online?

Did you recently change the ink cartridges=? Did you use third party or refilled cartridges?

If so, that may be the problem. Some printers have logic in them to drop offline if ink other that the manufacturer's is used.

If you are using factory new ink, please let me know and I/ll continue to try and assist you.
