Display driver I reformatted my toshiba satellite recntly, and after reinstalling xp I dont have my display driver and absolutely no info about it at all in my device manager! I know it's an Nvidia driver but no driver scans seem to be able to recognize it or tell me what type of driver it is. I've been trying everything for months now and I'm going nuts! how can I find out the type of video controller(vga compatable) display driver that my laptop originally had? It worked great before I reformatted it. Can someone please help me?

Toshiba Satellite L310 problem , display cannot appears

If the screen went blank after the driver install, sometimes clicking the mouse on the screen will bring the picture back. It sounds like the monitor is having a conflict with the resolution the driver is throwing out. Reboot the laptop and when you see the Toshiba splash screen, tap F8 until you see the multiple boot menu. Scroll to Safe Mode with networking and reboot. If the screen comes up, go to the control panel > System > hardware > display adapter > click on the plus sign and double click the reported adapter.click on driver tab and select roll back driver > click yes to any prompts and click ok. Reboot normally and see if that clears the problem.

Modems not detected with Windows XP install

According to the specs this is the driver (Toshiba Software Modem) you need to install to enable your modem.

Post your results, especially if this doesn't fix your problem.

Xp64 driver for toshiba satellite L305D laptop

looks like toshiba is more concerned on profit than in customer assistance, onece you bought a laptop - you are on your own. in two weeks time me and my friend we didnt find working drivers for what is mentioned. all the drivers toshiba is offering is for vista based os only, and some for win xp 32bit. for users like me, they only offer to use vista, pretending it is the best OS. i was working with my laptop even without those drives and noticed it working atleast twice as fast on xp than with vista. win xp was using approximately 270 ram memory to compare with 760 vista's when doing nothing. i am really sorry i bought a toshiba laptop! and now i am over 5.000 miles away! i hope they release drivers or die with no profit. sorry folks- solution is to reinstal vista :(

How to install XP in toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 laptop

You cannot uninstall Windows Vista, but you can reinstall your previous operating system, which then replaces Windows Vista. To reinstall your old operating system, you must have the original installation disc. Back up your programs and files, insert the installation disc into your computer, and then reinstall the old operating system. To regain the hard disk space used by Windows Vista, reformat the disk during the reinstallation process. After reinstalling your previous operating system, reinstall your programs and files.

Software

You can purchase Windows XP/Vista online or in any local office store. You will have to spend an evening downloading drivers from Windows/Toshiba and perhaps some third party.

I do not think your laptop came with a recovery partitian.

Ok...I would first step get the Network card (nic) model and driver info...this is the first thing you will need when you do the restore...it will make it alot easier to find drivers/etc.

Good luck my friend.
