SOURCE: Gigabyte mb wont recognise dual ram
please check in bios for dual boot option.plz note for dual - channel configuration your ram should have same frequency and speed.
SOURCE: I just installed 2x1gb sticks of PC400 DDR memory
the spec says that the boad supports up to 2gb ram http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Motherboards/detail_spec.aspx?ID=en-us0000325
maybe the sticks are not 1gb each
you can try to make a bios update.
SOURCE: upgrade to 400 mhz 2x1GB memory
The RAM speed setting should be in the BIOS. Press Del or F2 (whichever shows on the screen) before the Windows sceen comes up. You usually have to press it repeatedly, because there is a short time during startup when the keyboard is not active (and you can't tell). Once you are in the BIOS there will be instructions on how to move around via arrow keys or page up, page down buttons. Look around in the menus - there will be a setting for RAM speed there. If you accidentally change something you are not sure of you can always quit (F10) withour saving changes. Hope this helps.
