Re: Where is the reset button on the WGR614 v9 ??? I...
The reset button is located at the back of the router just below the antenna, you need a small pin to press it. Hold it for about 15 seconds to reset your router.
You would think they manufactured this router with a reset button, but in fact the v9 model does not have a reset button. Buying a NEW router today. You would think they manufactured this router with a reset button, but in fact the v9 model does not have a reset button. Buying a NEW router today.

The default address for netgear routers is : 192.168.1.1
So just open a browser, type 192.168.1.1 and hit go. It will ask for a user name and password. Default UN : admin PW: password
If that doesn't work, check the bottom part of your router for the username and password. If still not working, the login might be changed. You can reset the router to factory settings by pressing and holding the small reset button at the back of the router for 10-15 seconds while the power is on. You can use a pen or a pin to reset it. Wait for a minute and try it again.
If you need to reset your router, the documentation (also at the above page) should tell you how. Usually you need to hold down the reset button for 30 seconds, then browse to http://192.168.1.1/ and login with the default password.
Do a soft reset first. Turn OFF the computer(s) that is(are) connected to the router, then pull the power cable from the back of the router. Leave it OFF for a minute or two. Plug the power cable back into the router and give it a few minutes to come back up. Then turn ON the computer and you should be good to go.
You don't need the CD to get into the router. Type in http://www.routerlogin.net in your browser to pull up the login screen. The default username is admin and the default password is password.
You may have to do a hard reset. While the router is powered ON, use an ink pen or paper clip to push in the reset button on the back of the unit for 10 seconds or so until the lights flash ON and OFF. The router will be reset to factory default settings and you will have to go into the router as described above to run setup.
You can just do a reset on the router. There is a reset on the back. Use a tooth pick or pen to push and hold for about 15 seconds. Doing this will reset all your setting. You will need to setup your router again.
