why i can not join to my buddies invitation

Usually, this is due to your friends inviting you then they enter a game so you can't join their lobby. Try talking to your friend at the same time and make sure they dont enter a game so you can get to their lobby once they've invited you.

If you are playing the same game as a friend, you can press the ps button and bring up their name in your friends list, press triangle and select either join game, or invite friend. But first you have to be inside a pregame lobby in order to invite someone. If however you are connecting via LAN which is linking two PS3's together then you have to use the LAN setting instead of online play.

You should still be able to play online with people, as the party privacy only effects parties that YOU make. If you join a playlist, you should be able to join in on the fun :)

The problem is your internet is not good enough to host or join their game. There is probably some type of connection problem or their game is full. Hope this helps.

I've got a ps3 and call of duty 4+5, half the fun of the game is playing with a mate and I've had exactly the same problem as you. It just seems to be about trial and error sometimes, have tried connecting like you for over an hour before and then on other days it just connects wth my mate straight away.
Sometimes it helps to join a game(so you can see and hear other players) then invite your mate, if he/she to reply to your invite is quick sometimes you can get in that way.
The only other bit of advice is to try different times of the day as the load on the servers does change throughout the day, apart from that it really is an issue with activision and for me the playstation network

mine does that on gaylo 3 you should try cleaning the disc or invite your friends first or play a different game:P sry if I didnt help

this is a common problem. one of you needs to reset your internet connection... i used to have the same problem. (its not a setting issue)... this should work but if it doesn't, please let me know

under "Routers", find your router type. Then find both "Call of Duty 4" and "Xbox Live 360". Follow those steps. Hopefully that should help; if not, make sure your router has the latest firmware updates downloaded.

All right you need to check your wirless connection or maybe someone is using the internet while you are in your house.
