Sounds like my fridge

That sounds exactly like mine. I've had the howling sound for quite some time. But just yesterday, the ice and water dispenser quit working but everything else is fine (light still works, ice maker works, temp is fine, etc). The clicking noise just started tonight. Any of your problems come back? Also, is the control panel the large circuit board that is easily accessible from the back (mine took three screws to access - and is where the clicking sound is coming from). Thanks for your help!

Samsung fridge quit making ice in the upper ice maker, makes a moaning sound several times during the day for a few moments. Lower ice maker is making ice fine and water is dispensing fine also.

Sounds like ice may have frozen (sorry) the mechanism in place and you are hearing gears slowly stripping themselves. Validation is a but difficult, you would have to totally defrost the unit to room temperature, reload and see if it goes away.

The water dispenser is not putting out water and ice maker is not making ice. The fridge frequently cycles like it is trying to send out water.

it's still under warranty for up to 1 year, call whoever you bought it from and it should be repaired free of charge and next time you write send model number.

Ge fridge Model# Gss25ifrf bb that makes/dispenses ice, but nit the water. When I push the lever I hear a sound but nothing comes out.

My experience with the GE model GSS25IFRF BB is that it's an over-priced piece of garbage. I bought mine from Home Depot in 2006 and I've had to have a repairman out to my house for this thing 3 times in those 6 years.
The water dispenser issue is a known flaw with this fridge which GE knows about but, sells it like this anyway. The water dispenser line freezes. There is no fix for it. You have to thaw out your refrigerator periodically and then your water dispenser will work again for a while.....but it'll freeze up again. The first time I called in this problem, GE sent a repairman out to my house and said that they'd need to install some $450.00 heating adapter into my fridge (which wasn't even 2 years old yet) in order to solve the problem. Real stupid suggestion so, I declined. Additionally, why would I pay another $450.00 to compensate for a known flaw in the design of this fridge? If this was GE's "official solution", then it should have been free.
Either way, if you spend any money on fixing this, you're wasting your time and money. This problem is built into this refrigerator and will remain as long as you own this fridge. Best bet is to just unplug it and let it thaw out - water will dispense fine for a week or so.
Good luck - you'll be calling repairmen out for this piece of junk quite often so get used to it.

The real solution to this problem is to get a better fridge. That's what I'll be doing soon with mine.

Both the ice dispenser and the water dispenser quit at the same time on my kenmore 52559100 refrigerator. The icemaker still functions. Possible solutions? Thanks.

Check the wiring plug where the wires connect from the fridge and the door. Sounds like you may have a bad connection or it has come unplugged.

MAKING ICE BUT ICE AND WATER DISPENSER QUIT WORKING.

Sounds like a plugged water filter, assuming the water is turned on to the fridge. If you have a manual, refer to the section about water filters. The filter is usually accessible from the front of the fridge at the bottom....requires about a 1/2 turn counter-clockwise. Some units require that the water be turned off first but not all.

If you do not hear a click when activating the dispenser, there could be an issue with the water solenoid (water valve) that opens and closes when you use the water dispenser....agai...check the manual if at all possible.

ICE MAKER QUIT MAKING ICE ON MY WHIRLPOOL FRIDGE

I had a Whirlpool Model GD5SHAXNS in which the icemaker quit working about the same time (3 years old). I had water out the dispenser, I found that it was the icemaker itself failed not calling for water to fill it. I replaced it with a icemaker on-line for about $100 and problem fixed. I have been told his is a common problem with the icemaker in this model ref.
