Focus Problem I love my SD750 & have had no problems whatsoever for the 6 months I've owned it - until today. I took 15 pictures, the camera was working perfectly. Then I tried to take another and the picture was blurry. Now all pictures I take are out of focus. This is going to drive me nuts. Please help. :)

Hi! I've had the same problem. I loved my camera, only had it for about 2 months! Then yesterday all the sudden the auto focus would not work, now all my pictures are blurry! I have not dropped the camera and I have done nothing that would harm the camera. Has anyone found a solution for this problem? I am on a trip around the world and cannot take it to a repair shop at for another 2 months and by that time my trip will be over! (I bought the camera for this trip!) Please help!

i know that this post is going more than a year after the original, but I have been experiencing the same problem. I've only had the camera for about a year and it's worked perfectly! About a month ago we turned the camera on for a party and all we are getting are blurry pictures ...

We haven't dropped it, it hasn't been put it any water, and the macro isn't on. Is there anything that may help besides sending it in for a repair?

Check that it's not on macro. Had a colleague whose kid managed to put the camera on macro but screen gave no indication that it was on. Was stumped for days with it. Try going to tools and reset all.

For ANY focus problems with ANY camera check first that it isn't set on macro. I got caught out recently by this myself on a phone despite having contributed this solution. I was taking terrible blurry pictures for a couple of weeks. I couldn't figure what was wrong until I looked back through pictures and noticed the last decent one was an extreme close-up of a hairy caterpillar. Suddenly I remembered having written this and felt a proper tool. ;-)

Maybe cut back on the whiskey ! If there is a mark of the front element of the lens, this can also fool the autofocus - clean the element gently with a lens tissue folded four time, then torn in half. Do NOT rub the surface of the lens.

Greetings whiskeygirl,

Did anything happen to your unit? Even the smallest of drops can cause the units focal system to become unaligned and not function properly?

I would recommend taking it into a qualified repair center. If you have only had the unit for six months, then you are definately still covered by your manufacturer warranty.

I hope this helps.

Why don't costco stock the magalite wireless motion detection lites anymore, model MB-DLM-82. I've bought 9 so far and would buy more but can't find them in Phoenix, AZ.

I'm guess they don't stock for they stop working in a few months.

I have three and after three months, they go on and off when they want to.

If it detects movement, they may or may not work.

Loved them until they went crazy.

There are many posts on the net about the problems with these. I'm probably going to ask
COSTCO for a refund. I suspect they've given plenty already.

Have a canon digital elph sd750. Pictures are now blurry.

You could have cracked the lens, damage the focus or a number of other things but the lens and focus are most likely. check your lens for scratches if there is none and no cracks take it to your nearest camera store or buy new good luck!

Nikon D40X stopped auto-focusing yesterday

I had the same problem. My issue was with all my lenses. I solved it by going to the menu and selecting the custom setting menu (pencil icon). Then from the right menu select the AE-L/AF-L and press OK. Then make sure it is set on AE/AF Lock. Presto...all my lenses worked on auto-focus.

Pink circles and glares with sunset photos

It may have to do with the black ring. (think football players). I'm guessing either that or the more sensitive, noisier CCD is to blame!!! Good Luck!!!
