Like other people my deep fryer lights come on but will not heat. Its been suggested to change the fuse, how? and where do I buy one? Thanks
I called 1800-798-7398 mine is the 5liter fryer, and he needed the model number and date number on the back of the unit *difficult to see/ black plastic, but once I told him what this info was, service tech advised me to push a reset. It looks like a hole where a screw would be .. but I did as he suggested took a pen, pushed it in the hole * i could see no screw in the hole.. and when I plugged it in, turned it on, it started to heat up right away! Hope this is helpful for you! Call the number, Mine was a gift too, I had no receipt. He also wanted to know where it may have been purchased. I knew mine was from canadian tire. All is good. Call the number with model, and age date on hand.. and i am sure they will help you out too. They gave me an account number for refrence if i have any further questions/probs.
If it is a fuse it will be inside the cover, I think it is probably a high limit which is a snap disc device. this will usually be attached directly on the outside of the frypot, but still inside the cover it will be a quarter sized disc with 2 retaining screws and two leads connected to it.
Try pressing the reset button.

I can not find it, we have taken it apart. What is the silver box with a red button in it (looks like a circuit breaker) could that be wrecked. Originally pushing the reset button made it work once and now same problem again. I love my deep fryer but don't think I will ever buy this kind again can't even download a manual from their website. Thanks for trying to help.
