Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a Yamaha RX-V667 Receiver and I need a code for the Remote Control to operate my Topfield PVR model 7160 (Australian release). Yamaha have not published any codes for any Topfield products. Do you have any clues? Martin

recorded programs, especially on commercial stations, have started pixellating and jumping forward! How can I fix this without returning to supplier (Topfield model TRF 7160 is still under warranty until early april). Regards Therese Spiers

Just bought a Topfield trf-2460 PVR and I have got everything working except the remote control (that came with pvr) sound funtion. I can record and playback with the audio working fine but even after setting the TF remote control to work on the TV funtion, it just doesn't like it, except for the mute button, that and the off function. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Joe

Joseph, codes 0081,0082,0176, 0186, 1176, the attached manual may have more codes.
Yamaha rx-v2500 receiver, try the auto programming feature on your remote to set up universal remote. It is possible the remote may not support your equipment and you will have to replace with compatible remote. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Set TV Code for Yamaha Remote RAV-290

Do any experts know the answer to this question? It has been posted multiple times, but I dont' see any answers! It is a pitiful manual that is provided by Yamaha for this purpose and nothing is intuitive about making this work. If anyone know the answer, PLEASE POST IT!

The volume keys should be working by default, but you may have volume punch through turned on (meaning the remote is sending signals for TV or CABLE volume function no matter what mode you are actually on). To unlock volume control for AUX mode, do the following:
1. Press and release AUX
2. Press and hold SETUP until the remote blinks twice
3. Type 993
4. Press and release VOL-
The remote should blink four times to confirm unlock.
