Question about LeapFrog LeapPad Learning System: Scooby-Doo and the Disappearing Donuts (708431300330)

1 Answer

My leap pad won't recognize any of my books. When I put in a new cartridge it says, "Oops! That's not a leap pad cartridge!" If it does comprehend me pressing the green go button, it starts reading a completely different book (always the same bottle nosed dolphin's book) or it just ignores me when I'm pressing the green button. It sometimes tells me to make sure my book is flat. Uggh.

I just had the same exact problem. We followed the leap pad recommendations for cleaning the stylus connection. Then we used a q-tip to clean the cartridge port and blew into it. Now it works.

I had the same problem with two secondhand units. I cleaned the cartridge port on the unit, the stylus pen and the plug-in portion of the cartridges themselves, with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol. Now they work. Thank you for the solution!

Leapster explorer cartridge won't fit

You have to make sure it is compatible. There are different types of Leapsters. Leapster 1 and 2, Leapster GS, Leapster Explorer and Leappad. Take it back to the store they may give you a refund or store credit.

Screen is cracked on the Leap Pad and it won't work now. What can I do to fix it or get it replaced?

You can send it back to the manufacturer for a replacement which will cost nearly as much for a new one with warranty. I'm sorry to say but there isn't a strong market for that type of repair.

Leappad won't recognize game cartridges and when it does, the screen goes black and returns to home page

I used the pencil eraser first on each of my daughter's cartridges. Then I used a qtip to rub them with rubbing alcohol. Finally I used a blow dryer to blow out where the cartridges are installed and now her games are working just fine.
