Www.usasupport.philips.com for missing software - just enter model #

Use Windows Media Player to transfer songs - the programs on the installation CD are not used for transferring - they are only used for repairing the occasional malfucntion

This can be either a CD or a collection of music files from a virtual music store in the Internet. You may use your old music from your CDs and install them onto your MP3 player. In this way, you can listen to them anywhere, anytime.

4. Convert into MP3 format

In most cases, down-loadable music files from the Internet are already available in MP3 format. So that would not pose much of a problem.

However, if you will be downloading music files from a CD, you have to convert them into MP3 format because most CD music files are not on this format.

You may use your music management software to rip the files from the CD and convert them into MP3 format using the applicable functions.

5. Connect, select, and party on!

The last thing that you have to do in putting your music onto a MP3 player is to connect your MP3 player to your PC via the USB port. Once accessed from the computer, you can now easily transfer your music files from your PC down to your MP3 player. I cant downlaod itunes to my mp3

for phillips mp3 players, you need to use the software that came with them to upload music to your mp3 player. You can find the sofware to download at phillips website...

http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/cpproduct_selector.pl?slg=ENG&scy=GB&grp=PORTABLE_ENTERTAINMENT_GR&cat=PORTABLE_CD_MP3_PLAYERS_CA&sct=PORTABLE_CD_MP3_PLAYERS_SU

find your model in that list, and download the software, and you're good to go.

How/where to download movies

I have a Phillips go Gear myself. You need the media converter for phillips software for it. It takes any file and converts it to a Phillips specific file for your player. The disk came with my player but if you would like to download the software you can find it here: http://www.arcsoft.com/products/mediaconverter/

Uploading problem

If you have got a usb cable insert it in your mp3 player and the usb port of your computer.
In My Computer a new removable disk icon appears.
Open the drive and paste the song files and directories in the disk.
Now click Safely remove hardware button in the taskbar.choose Safely remove hardware and the computer shows safe to remove hardware.take out the usb cable from both the ends.Switch on the player and listen to your songs.

Lost disc

You will have to use MusicMatch to transfer files.
and heres some more stuff:

-firmware update, though you should check with them to see if it is required
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/...t=Link_Software

-manual
http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcbint/...ink_UserManuals

If that didnt work you can always:

Plug in you mp3player,
Go into My Computer,
open 'Phillips' and go into music.
then open the file where you keep your songs
and drag them from Music to Phillips

Good luck, Please rate
