My satellite radio receiver keeps losing power whenever I hit a bump or if the vehicle vibrates. Obviously, the electical connection needs to be repaired or soldered, but where do I send the unit to in order to be repaired and how much would something like this cost? I actually have the Streamer GTR model

It more likely to be the connection plug, the connector plugs weaken over time with the bumps , just needs reseating the connections on the pins.

The cases are not made to enter, they have an interlocking plastic housing that isn't suppose to release once closed. The unit can be forced apart at the seam but it will damage the housing,

Directed Electronics is the maker of this product. You will need to find a local stereo shop to have them send it in for repair, or you can contact the manufacturer directly. Visit their website at www.directed.com for a dealer or for contact information.

My Delphi SkyFi2 power goes off when I hit a bump in my car

You most likely need a new dock with a solid DC jack connection. Also, there is a "lock" on the back of the dock to hold your SkyFi tuner in the dock tighter. I'd give you one of my docks if you lived nearby! Good luck and let us know what you find out.

The radio and power windows do not work when I start truck. Sometimes if you hit a bumb or hit dash above radio all starts working

as going over a bump etc can make the components work ther eis obviously a loose connection , have you had any work done to vehicle in the dash area ,electrical or otherwise ? if not this will probably be a time consuming fix as will have to trace wiring from window switch back to dash and radio as well they probably have a common connector in there somewhere keep me posted if you wish

2009 Chev Uplander radio keeps quitting and displaying Aux Input Device

There is a short in the aux input 'hole' that receives the wire. When you plug in the wire from your mp3 the radio automatically switches to aux. Since there is a short in the plug when you hit bumps or the vibration etc. the radio thinks that it is receiving a plug in and switches to aux. You will have to have the radio physically repaired (it will have to soldered) to repair the short. I own 2 of these vans and my parents own one and all three have had this issue. It is usually created from a wire plugged into the port hole and getting bumped or something which causes the port to loosen. Over time the metal connections inside short out. Just my two cents.

The plug where the power cord plugs in seems to have a loose connection. I keep losing power to the unit. any suggestions?

just try to change the ac, maybe it is the one that is defective, or if your suspicion is right open it and solder the loose contact

No sound but still has power

Yes, one bad speaker connection can cause the radio to shut off all output in a type of protection mode to protect the rest of the speakers...if not that, if the vehicle is equipped with an amp, make sure the amp turn on wire is well connected.

Stereo loses power when vehicle is in motion.

Look for a loose wire or connection! Obviously something is getting disturbed by the bumps and motion of the vehicle.

You would have to get access to the wiring that is associated with the radio, and try moving, pushing, and pulling on the wires and connectors to make some kind of disturbance. They when you make the fault, you work your way around to zero in on the exact location.
