SOURCE: Does the Tamron 18-270 f3.5-6.3 Di VC LD Lens fit

If it has the correct Canon mount then it will fit, but is still unsuitable.

The lens is designed for APS-C sized sensors, so the image it produces will not be big enough for the full-frame sensor on the EOS 5D. If you use it then there will be unacceptable vignetting in the corners of the images.

The angle of view of the lens will also be different to what you may expect: although it is an 18-270mm focal length it will have the same angle of view as a 28-420mm on a 35mm full frame equivalent camera.

I hope that my posting has helped you and only ask in return that you take a moment to rate my answer.

SOURCE: What is the focal length

It's not the lens but the camera that determines the focal length multiplier. On some cameras the 18-270mm lens is an 18-270mm. The XSi's imaging sensor applies a 1.6x multiplier on any lens used with the camera, so the 18-270mm will be approximately 29-430mm.

My canon 550 d camera lens dose not zoom autormatically

a 550D is a detachable lens camera and will not auto-zoom (it has a rubber ring that you turn to accomplish this with most lenses). are you sure you have an EOS 550D, or did you mean auto-focus?

Can i use tamron 90-300 mm af macro on my minolta 404 si dynax ?

Tamron makes lenses with a variety of lens mounts. If the lens has a Minolta mount then yes, you may use it with your camera.

Tamron 200-500 mm f5-6.3 "lens not attached"

This lens lacks the electronics to communicate with the camera. You need to set the aperture to its smallest setting (as you've done) and switch to the manual exposure mode (turn the mode dial to M). You'll get no exposure assistance from the camera's light meter. You can use a separate light meter and/or adjust the exposure by reviewing your pictures.

Can the 550D eos take a picture without the lens? if yes, how?

The lens is what focusses the image on the sensor. If you remove the lens, the sensor just receives a burst of unfocussed light.

I have a Canon EOS 630, 35-135 ultrasonic lens and a 300EZ canon flash. I want to get the new Rebel T2i and was wondering if I can use my old flash and lens and have all the TTL and auto focusing features...

Different technology between your film camera and the digital era The flash won't synchronize properly with the new digital you will need an EX type flash the 35-135 will work but because the digital has a focal factor of 1.6 compared to your 35-135 it will become a 56-216mm. Keep your EOS 630 as a back up to the digital.

Tamron lens for Xti?

if it is an auto focus lens that works on one eos camera, it should work on almost all of them. the only known exception is that some high end extenders will not fit the eos1dmarkII as it protrudes into the opening too far.
but a good rule is that if it fits without any obstruction issues, it should work. try cleaning contacts on the lens and camera body. if that doesn't fix it, talk to Tamron. you can use it manually, but will not be as easy and you would get less predictable results.

my suggestion is to always go with lens from camera maker.

sounds like there is an issue with the tamron lens. not the camera.
good luck

AF 70-300 causes error 99 in my Canon 300D

This is usually a torn flexible circuit or binding aperture in the lens. It'll have to go to a repair shop for replacement. About a $80 job.
