The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced .
NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.
There is a slight possibility that a problem with the pressure switch hose could be causing this problem.
A pinched or twisted air hose can cause this fault code.
When you open the console, check the air hose connected to the pressure switch on the machine control board.
If it is pinched or crimped, I recommend rerouting the hose to resolve this problem.
This may fix your problem without replacing the control board.
NOTE: You may want to check for this condition before ordering the control board. Most electronic control boards cannot be returned for a refund or credit.
If you find no apparent problems with the air hose on the pressure switch, then replacing the machine control board on this washer should correct your problem. There is a risk involved in replacing this part yourself.
As noted above, you could have a problem with the air pressure hose that is not apparent upon your initial inspection. A service technician would normally need to properly and thoroughly diagnose this problem before replacing the control board.

I too was having the same problem and I almost paid to have it repaired, which would have cost a few hundred dollars, thanfully I called the recall line after reading some of the other post on here and my machine was elgible for a upgraded on the control panel so didn' t cost anything for us. Sears told us that the F1 code is a miscommunication in the control panel, basically the machine is confused and don't know what to do so it stops and gives that code. Hope it helps!
Hi Curtis: File a class-action suit against the Whirlpool company. There is something wrong with the electronic module that tells the washer to shut down during the rinse cycle.
If you pause, lift the lid, pour in about 3 gallons of water into the tub, close the lid, push start, the washer should continue without having to wear out your fingers pushing the buttons. The buttons will eventually be pushed down into the control panel and you will have to use a pencil to reach them.
Also helps to have a nice cool bottle of regular beer (not the light stuff) before you start the load, the washing duty will work out much smoother. Good Luck.
f-1 error code,, replace main contol board ,,pressure swtich is loacted inside board would not fill drain and spin once replaced there will be no more problems, if machine is 2 yrs should be covered under warranty
Sorry to tell you but you have a faulty control board. It is a bad part from the factory. They know that its bad too! They have completely remanufactured the part. There is lawsuit against whirlpool (whirlpool made the oasis) for the problem. Some people have been able to call and complain to whirlpool and got them to pay for the repair. Complain a lot. Good luck. sorry for the bad news.
f1 is the code for primary control failure cod be a bad connection at the primary control under the control console or a faulty primary control if its still under warranty id have a tech look at it
