I'm having the same problem, how did you fix or did you? The SONY XBR 46v4100 has a Black cloud on the right half of the screen. Sometimes after 20 minutes of being on it goes away. Lately, it has not gone away. Sound is fine and I can see a slightly distorted picture under the black area.

SOURCE: The TV has a Black cloud on the right half of the

My parents have the same issue with their Sony KDL-46V4100 TV and were told by the tech that the LCD screen was physically broken and would have to be replaced. The replacement of the screen would cost more than a brand new TV and the TV is not longer under warranty. After the TV is on for awhile the Black cloud goes away but it always comes back when they turn the TV off/on. It stays for 20 - 30 minutes sometimes. The Tech took both top corners of the TV and pushed one back and pulled one forward to show them he could recreate the problem after the black blob cleared up. By twisting the corners he made the blob reapper which he claimed was becuase of the damaged screen. I have no idea how the screen was damaged? I helped them take it out fo the box and set it up. We never dropped it bumped it once? It's never falled off the stand so go figure? It would be nice to find more people with this issue and get a recall going. Something that expensive should last longer than to two years.

How to fix my sony tv?

When a TV is defect, there is no such thing as a magic word over the internet that can heal it. For defects, you really must visit a repair store, or contact Sony, when it still is under warranty.

There is one pixel out on our TV. Is there anything we can do to fix that black pixel?

In 99.9% of the cases there isn't anything you can do except replace the panel. That last 0.01% are not dead pixels but "stuck" pixels and can sometimes be fixed by lightly rubbing the screen with your finger.

Blue cloud on the bottom center of the screen Sony xbr 70

If this is a KDSR50XBR1 or a KDSR60XBR1,
It is a bad Optical Block and you need to call Sony at 1-800-222-SONY asap to get a exstended warrenty repair. If it is not, and it is out of warrenty I would still call to see what they will do. In either case, it is a Optical Block causing the problem.
Hope this Helps,
