Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T10 Digital Camera Logo

I have a Sony HDR-HC7E handycam and it came up with the same error message. E:62:10. I was taping (it uses a digital tape) and it shuddered and started going silly. I can still get it to work and record most of the time but the flashing NEVER stops. I don't want to hit it as so many people suggest

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.

SOURCE: The no tape and eject symbols are flashing at the same time.

Those signs means Record tab on tape is ON, eject tape and check record tab and make sure to set it on Record position.

Blown Sony HDR-HC7E fuse or board?

There are internal fuses yes, but they are surface mounted ones and not a DIY repair. There are protection diodes internally as well. If the adapter was not the correct one, it is possible that it popped the diodes and fuse.

You can buy the service manual from Sony directly for a cost.

Hope this helps,
Dan

What is the best way to delete all taping from my mini dv's

You can use a powerful magnet swipe it up against the side of the tape several times or you can just tape over them again or you can put the lens cap on the camera and press record

Doesn't play or record tapes. Get a C.30.41 error. Will load tape. Tried resetting.

dear

u need to rate me for that ..ok dude....

actuallythis error is related to Head assy. i.e, the (head)drum motor is not completing its fg in proper time. try to use cleaning tape 1 st and then play back your normal tape.

if the problem persists then u need to go to the near by service center as they will clean the head assy. manually.

HDR-HC1 Sony camcorder- reinsert the cassette error message

Bill,

The problem is with the S-reel. Take the tape out, remove the battery, and give it a slight bump. This usually fixes the issue for a couple of weeks. I haven't heard of any permenant fixes. I took my cam into circuit city (before they closed) twice for the same issue. Very frustrating when you don't know what the issue is.

Loading tapes

I have the same problem. If I remove the battery for a few seconds, then replace the battery and wait about 5 seconds, the tape compartment closes.

Cant record

C32 error codes are usually cassette or tape transport related. Can you eject the tape? Try inserting a new tape to see if the fault is with the tape itself.

If this doesn't work, I suggest that you take your camera to a service centre.
