If your CD player works hooked up to the DJ board, then try hooking the line out of the board into a auxiliary in or line in in or record in on your receiver using the appropriate cables.Try the CD in first and if there is too much signal then use the CD/Tape in. You need to match the output signal of your board to the input signal of your amp. Hope this helps.

Voltage djm 400

You do not need to replace anything, buy or have a stepdown transformer

of at least 200 watts rating.

Step-down transformer specs:

220V input

110V output

However , there are other DJM400 versions that have a built in 220V

input. Have a tech to guide you.

What size is the glass fuse inside my pioneer djm 400 mixer as it has blown and ive lost it and need to get replaced

You need to REPAIR the cause of it blowing before you worry about what size it is. Replacing it without repairing MAY damage additional components.

For 220 Volt service it appears to be 250ma for 120 it appears to be 400ma

Here is service manual:

I have a djm 400 and it has started producing a buzzing sound through the speakers. I can take the same speaker cables from the djm 400 and hook them up to my backup mixer and the buzzing goes away. What...

Since it works with your other mixer, the DJM400 is probably fine. You have a ground loop.

Make sure ALL, and I do mean ALL... (re-read that if there is any confusion) interconnected equipment WILL BE powered from the same receptacle or source. If speakers or amps are powered from one place and the DJM is from the other end of the room you likely have a ground loop and you can ex[ect buzzing. Run extension cords alongside the audio leads if necessaryy to carry power from where the amps or speakers are plugged in back to the DJM400 and ANY pther connected equipment.

Does it buzz through cans? (headphones). Try listening on headphones (turn off any amps and speakers) on cue to each channel you use and to the master output. is it stil there? if so it's an all round earthing fault. If it's all good through the cans (sorry...I mean headphones), try it with the amp/s on again. If the buzz is back it souds like the screen on the main audio output connecters has come off inside.
It's a quick fix, but if you have never used a solder iron, take to someone who has.

Hi, I have a DJM 400 Pioneer mixer, I'm having trouble with the output levels. It seems the left output is only putting out about half the sound of the right output.I have used different RCA cables,...

Please try a set of headphones. If it is balanced in the phones, then I suspect trouble might be in the muting circuits of the main output.

Next test is to verify the outputs using direct inputs to the CD input...

DJM 400 Keep going into over on the channel and the master volume

To keep your levels down keep the TRIM don which is the gray knob. Also keep the hi, mid, and low knobs at the medium level. The control cables are for using the fader start function.

Use the stereo master outs from the DJM into the A and B Inputs of the EQ (you'll need 2 phono to Jack or 2 phono to XLR cables) then from the A and B Outputs of the EQ to the power amp/ speakers, etc (you'll need jack or XLR cables depending on what is powereing your speakers)

One Output low on DJM 400

This may not be the correct solution, but have you checked the switches on the back of the DJM-400 to see if one output is set to "PHONO" mode?

Pioneer DJM-400 mixer turns on, but channels aren't working

could be a few things , what have you tried to trouble shoot the problem ?
My steps would be ;
check all leads (even if you KNOW u pluged them in)
check the gain is set corectly .
check the line phono slectors are set to what ever you have you leads pluged into on the back of the mixer ( there is 4 red and white RCA plugs , 2 for phono,2 for line CDJs shold be using line )
if you are using digital cables to conect your CDJs , on the back on the mixer there is a small switch marked "CD or digital" make sure that is sleceted "digital " . if ur not using digital cables make sure it is on "CD" .
the info iv put here is based on the DJM-800 so your mixer my not have some of these featers as iv never used a 400 . hope this helps dued . check out www.djtutor.com for more tricks and tips . Pratices'N'enjoy !
