If your system is still running the same hardware as when you bought it, you should be able to download the drivers at the eMachines support website at.

http://www.emachines.com/support/drivers.html

In the menu, click the following options

1. Desktop
2. ET Series
3. ET1161

Unfortunately they only have vista drivers available. eMachines tends not to smile on users using anything but the given OS, so you are out of luck if you want XP drivers for the system.

My dell 2600 cannot identify the hard drives even from the bios.somebody mentioned the raid card.any ideas??

Have you used SCSI drives? I think it should have 80 pins. What was the SIZE of the HDD? You must have the EXACT SAME SIZE for all the Available Hard Drives. Its RAID. You must install (2 or 3 or what ever the number) hard drives with exact the same capacity. IF you have used/ are using 40 GB then you have to use the exact same size. You cannot CHANGE the Size. Then the Raid Array will Fail. If you are using RAID 5 or any similar technology then No Chance.
And you must Launch the "Rebuild Array".
If you have errors while Rebuilding: I would suggest updating the firmware on the remaining drives as there may be an issue with SCSI timeout errors that caused your disk to fall off its array.

MY SCSI RAID HOST CONTROLER

You can right click on it and either roll back the driver or update. Usually if you go to www.update.microsoft.com you can search for updates. Always choose custom install so you can see what it is installing. Let me know what happens

Prolinat ML350 G2 WONT BOOT UP

You have apparently attempted to attach a tape drive or other similar device to a SCSI RAID controller. You will need to get a separate SE SCSI HBA instead. These are pretty cheap, usually just over $100 list from HP.

If you haven't attached anything new, then you should check your cables first and if that doesn't help I would suspect a bad RAID controller.

Raid 0 on Intellistation 6221?

That particular work station comes with both IDE and SCSI drive interface controllers. The IDE drive should be used for your OS. The SCSI drives for your data storage. Now, the issue is to get the SCSI to work in RAID_0 as I understand.

You iwll need a RAID controller such as Adaptec AHA-3940AU WD SCSI Host Controller, which may be found on eBay (used) for a very affordable price. The driver software may be downloaded directly from Adaptec, so I suggest you do that in the iterim peroid, and store drivers on a USB thumb drive.

Hope this helps you.

Problem with creating array

The Perc RAID controller in a 2600 doesn't support RAID 4.
You can do RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5.

With 3 HDD's your best bet would be a RAID 5.

Mirroring is RAID 1 (which would only use 2 of the drives)
