Firstly Go to www.apple.com and Select iTunes >Download iTunes.
after that Select your system type and Click on "Download Now" option. Open the file and install it after downloaded in your system.

Right click on it and select run as administrator. if that doesn't work.
Remove itunes from add or remove programs, do a search for itunes on your harddrive and delete all folders with itunes or apple on it. there are probably some files in documents and settings folder that need to be removed.
basiclly the itunes and apple software needs to be fully removed and then reinstalled.
delete your current version of itunes by going into Control Panel----Remove Programs---click on iTunes 6 and Right click and uninstall. then go to http://www.apple,com/itunes/ and download a clean version. Install it and your all set.
