If you have the product key, you can simply install the program on the new computer and uninstall the program on the old computer. To move files you created with using Microsoft Office you can copy the files (usually in My Documents) to a flash drive or a CD or other medium to copy on to your new computer.

Hi ekse..i mistakenly clean off 2007 microsoft office home and student version 2007

Hi asaajummy

ACCIDENTAL DELETION OF MS OFFICE HOME AND STUDENT 2007

You do not say where you obtained your MS Office Home & Student 2007. If this program originally came from a Microsoft Authorized or other legitimate source with the original installation disc and Product ID and was, when new, an unused, unregistered, unactivated, genuine version but you have either mislaid or damaged the original disc, then you could beg, borrow or buy any MS Office Home & Student 2007 disc with which to re-install the program, using your original Product ID when a code is requested during the installation process. You could borrow a disc from a friend or an educational institution. You could go to a local repair centre with a comprehensive software library. You could buy a replacement disc on eBay.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/installation-and-activation-information-for-2007-microsoft-office-programs-HA010173340.aspx

If you obtained MS Office Home & Student 2007 from a third party, you will have difficulty knowing whether it is genuine, unused, unactivated and unregistered.

If you were hoping to be able to download MS Office 2007, then you should be aware that Product Full, genuine, licensed versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded. Microsoft have withdrawn downloads and direct sales of MS Office 2007 applications, the only remaining support services being updates and security patches during Automatic Updates. If there is some obstacle to your using the Product Key you mention, here are some constructive, useful, helpful, practical alternative options to consider instead. One option is to download MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial and install it, carefully following each step:

Go to: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try

If you do not want to buy or cannot afford a full, licensed copy of MS Office 2007 and/or prefer to pursue the downloading option, consider the latest version of genuine, similar free comprehensive Office Suite applications - OpenOffice and LibreOffice- downloadable free, from their original source, at:

www.openoffice.org

http://www.libreoffice.org/

You can use OpenOffice and LibreOffice simultaneously with MS Office 2010 Pro 60-DayTrial. If you delete MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial, well before the 60 day expiry date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and Restart before downloading and installing it again, it is usually possible to enter into further 60 Day trial periods. If you are determined to continue using it but there is some insurmountable obstacle to your re-installing MS Office 2007, then you might have to purchase a full, genuine, unused and licensed copy of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ms+publisher+2007&sprefix=MS+Publisher

Online offers of Free Downloads of MS Office products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or sites that are masquerading non-existent MS Office products as camouflage for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services. Even if you do succeed in finding a Product ID or download site that seems to work for MS Office 2007, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Activation Code for the product before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft.

I hope this helps.

I just bought this brand new laptop and it has Vista on it... then the MS Office Home/Student 2007 and that kept asking me for a Prod Key... I tried the one on the laptop and it doesnt work

the one that you are trying to enter is the product key for your windows operating system. MS Office Home/Student 2007 edition has a separate product key. what was installed in your system is an MS Office Home/Student 2007 trial version. you need to purchase the product key at microsoft website.

How do I go about buying a Product Key for Microsoft office home and Student 2007? I bought a new laptop and they never gave me a product code

If you have a trial version of MS Office Home and Student Edition already installed in your computer, you must buy a retail package of that same programe (MS Office Home and Student Edition) and language of the trial installed.
Then you can use the product key of the package you bought to convert your trial into a full version.
To convert MS Office Home and Studente Edition, you don't just buy a key, you must buy the full package with the CD you can use for future installations.
