Use a bent paperclip and insert it into the small hole on the front of the player. This should cause the disk to eject. Reload the DVD and try again.

There are sensors which tell the DVD drive that the drawer is closed and that there is a DVD inserted, if these fail there is usually no simple fix, the parts need to be replaced which requires complete dis-assesembly of the TV/DVD, Most people just choose to connect an external DVD as it is cheaper.

you haven't mentioned about whether it plays CDs. if it plays CDs without any problem, and only DVD play does not. the fault is with its Laser Pickup Unit. ther is no repair to this unit, as it can only be replaced with same type and number. Insist on same type and number. Never make a comprmise. OK.

DVD movie playing have words on the screen is call subtitle.Goto DVD main menu.Turn off dvd movie subtitle,now dvd disc playing,will have no more words on the screen.

coby tv has sound but no picture

you must do a optical head cleaning on the unit, could be the optical lens was dirty thats why it can't read any disc inserted.

37inch av500ui hdlcd tv can't get dvd to ply. keep getting no signal.

try www.videohelp.com then type in dvd hacks there are various sites to go through.you can use search engines to your advantage.
