I have a black and dark grey digital watch marked TCM on the back with 4 buttons saying "bearing", "start/spl", "mode/select", "stp/light/set" around a circular digital face. On the back it says that it has a "Stainless Steel back water resistant 30M" and needs "Battery type CR2025". There is also a number below the TCM logo: 217362. I have just found the watch in a draw in my house and would like to change the time and date. How can I do this? Thank you

You have to calibrate the compass.
1. Press the upper right button (switching to compass mode)
2. Press and hold upper left button. The "CALL" will appear on the display. You are in compass calibrating mode.
3. Rotate the watch horizontally (around his vertical axis) slowly, so to be sure that he point the North at least 2 times.
4. Now press the upper left button again to input the declination (this is the angle between the magnetic and real pole). It is different for the area around the world, that you want to explore.
5. Switch between the positions of the cipher by pressing bottom left.
6. Change the cipher by pressing bottom right.
7. Switch between the active position by pressing bottom left. Now you have to enter East or West declination
8. If you are ready press the upper left. "END" of calibration will appear on the screen

Once you calibrate and set the declination you can use the the compass by pressing upper right button. As the compass is very sensitive It is good idea to calibrate it on a field, far away of metal objects and electromagnetic fields (cables, ect.). You need to calibrate the compass each time you want to use it by different surrounding.

Remember the compass function of your watch need much more energy than the watch itself. Don`t worry to change the battery when dead. The water resistance remains good even after. Very robust and accurate device. I hope that should help.

To set the time

1. Press and hold [ Adj button ] till the digits on screen starts blink.
   
   
2. Now Press [ Mode Button ] repetitively to cycle through Hour -> minute -> Seconds
   
   
3. Press [ ST/STP button ] to adjust the value. Each press will increase the value.
   
   
4. Press [ Adj Button ] again to save the changes

To set the alarm

1. Press [ MODE Button] till it displays Alarm Time.

3. Different watches have different procedures to active the alarm. Common method is pressing a button briefly.
   Since model of watch is not specified, Try pressing [Adj Button] or [ST/STP Button].
   

Time Setting Instructions:First press and hold ST/STP for a few seconds and make sure it says (Time 1). This watch has a (Time 2) to use in other time zones.You change from Time 1 and Time 2 by pushing the ST/STP button for a few seconds.Time 1 setting:- Press and hold the SET button (Light Function will blink) use the ST/STP button to select on or off. Then push the Mode button to go to the next function.- The Chime function will blink. Use the ST/STP button to select on or off and then push the Mode button to go to the next function.- Next will be to select 12hour or 24hour time by using the ST/STP button then press the Mode button to set the Hour, Minutes, and Seconds.- Continue to set the year but when you get to the Month/Day you have the option of putting the day first then the month, use the ST/STP to select then push the Mode button to enter the month and day.- When satisfied with your settings push the SET button and your done.
Time 2 Setting:- Press and hold the ST/STP button it will say Time 2 and then go away only showing the time and date for Time 2- To adjust this time to another time zone you push and hold the SET button.- Use the ST/STP button and the RESET button to move ahead or behind in hours depending on time zone. Push the SET button when done.-Your time 2 is set for a different time zone and your Time 1 is set for your local time. Remember to use the ST/STP button to go back and forth from Time 1 to Time 2.

I just picked up this watch.  Setting it is easy.  Hold down the button marked "RESET" (lower right) until the numbers start blinking.  Hit the "MODE" button (lower left) until the the settings you want to change are blinking.  Hit the "ST/STP" button (upper right) to change that setting.  Keep on hitting these two buttons until the settings are as you would like them.  Hit "RESET" button to finish.  So, to change just the day, I would hold down "RESET," hit "MODE" four times, hit "ST/STP" until the date is correct, hit "RESET" to save.  

i controlled the alarm by keeping the start/stop (upper right) button depressed while repeadedly pressing on the reset (lower right) button.

Using a Sportline but I'm an hour off with daylight savings time. How do I change the time, I can't figure it out. Can

Press mode continuously for about 2-3 seconds then release
Press mode again so that the seconds are flashing
Press ADJ + ST/STP at the same time
Adjust what you need to adjust and move between minutes and seconds by repeating the ADJ + ST/STP
