AFTER ABOUT 2 HOURS TV SCREEN GOES DARK SOUND OK AND POWER LITE IS ON. IF YOU TURN TV OFF AND RIGHT BACK ON TV WORKS ABOUT 30 MINUTES THEN GOES BLACK. AGAIN. IF IT WASNT DIGITAL HD I WOULD HAVE SUSPECTED HIGH VOLTAGE POWER SUPPLY BUT THAT DOES NOT EXIST HERE. IF YOU LEAVE TV ON AFTER IT GOES BLACK IT COMES BACK ON IN ABOUT 10 MINUTES THEN GOES BLACK AGAIN IN THIRTY. IF YOU LEAVE IT OFF FOR A COUPLE HOURS IT WILL PLAY LONGER. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE PANEL AND THAT IT WILL COST 5000.OO DOLLARS TO FIX. I HAVE ONLY HAD IT 5 MONTHS. NO WARRENTY

Well, not completely true; the fluorescent backlight is still a high voltage device, even if only hundreds of volts instead of kilovolts, and either the lamp(s) or the power supply for it (them) is causing the dropout of your picture.
When it does it next time, look at the screen from various angles, I think you will see that video content is still there.

Other than this problem, it works fine. If it can't be fixed easily, I will sell it, as I am sick and tired of having to turn it off and on.
