In addition to clearing memory this *will reset unit to factory defaults.
*****all of your programmed settings will be erased.

First power down the fax by unplugging, then power on.

After the power is turned on and "WAIT A MOMENT" is displayed, press & hold the STOP key.....until a normal display message shows.

*The above step allows the memory to be cleared! If this step is skipped clearing memory to factory defaults, (below) may not always work.

Press the "function" key followed by ALL of the following

9 * 8 # 7

wait until "diag mode" is showing.

Then press start button, followed by either * or #
until "memory clear" message is displayed.

then press start. If stressful "memory cleared" is shown.
proceed to re-program your fax machine settings.

Just purchased a used Sharp UX-330L fax and it says memory full. How do I clear the memory

Can't find a manual for your EXACT model, but here is a 340L user manual:

http://www.sharpusa.com/Support/ProductDetail.aspx?model=UX-340L

One thing I kept seeing on the web is mention of the fact that the memory could hold memory of around 30 pages. To me, this means that you might want to only send 25 - 28 pages at a time (per FAX session). I don't think you can "clear" the memory. It is just like RAM on a PC, and empties out when the task/job is finished.

Good luck.

The memory is full and my fax keeps reading no ink. I replaced the cartridge twice and it still reads no ink. It is a UX B-20

Don't worry about the memory being full, the problem is the ink, and once the machine is able to print the FAX will empty memory by printing the faxes out. This might sound bad but I have seen this happen, when you unpacked the new ink cartridge, did you pull off the little plastic protector? And is the paper loaded?

Sharp ux a1000. I need to clear the memory. Can

Just unplug the machine.
When the power supply is interrupted (intentionally or due to power failure) the memory is cleared.

UX-B800SE Fax

I had the same "Full Memory" problem & called Sharp. You need to unplug the fax, then hold (press down) on both the "Start/Memory" & the "Stop" buttons at the same time. While holding them down, plug the fax back in. After it's plugged in, you may need to press the start button again. That should clear it.
