Unsharp pictures in auto mode

I bought a new JVC EvrioGZ-MG130AS handycam. When i tried to do indoor shooting in auto mode the quality is not good and getting poor contrast pictures. On manual mode, therquality is good under same background, the result is broken pics when objects move. Image is good under auto mode when the background is brightly lit. Can somebody give a solution to this?

Taking indoor pictures with no flash

If you're in one of the PSAM modes then don't pop up the flash.
You can use the Auto-No-Flash mode by turning the mode dial to the position after the green Auto mode (a lighting bolt in a circle with a slash through it).

Outdoor pictures are all white

Double check the mode the carera is in to make sure you are not in manual mode. Most point and shoot digital cameras have an auto mode. Try putting the camera in auto mode to see if that helps. In manual mode you have to select the appropriate Fstop setting (how much light gets through the lens) and the shutter speed (how long the lens stays open during the shot).

You have to choices, auto and scene.
What happen when you choose scene mode?
2. test change your image quality to normal. you can go to menu even in shooting mode.
3.change image to normal and back to shooting mode and try again

It is same ?blur?

4.if still blur, try go to menu mode again, at left side you can find BSS.
5 IF BSS is off.. change it on. if it is on, change it off.
6.go to shooting mode again.

Not good photos indoors very grainy and bad light looking photos

Auto mode in poor lighting (generally always indoors without flash) sets high ISO, which produces ugly amount of noise (graininess). What you need is to keep the ISO under 200 by either:
Shooting well lit scenes, using flash etc.
or
Uusing one of the manual programs (M, S, A, P) and setting the sensitivity via the F-menu.

Brighness

Hi

The output on the LCD has nothing to do with the image quality or how they look when they are printed.

If you are talking about the brightness level when you TAKE the picture, that's something completely different and has a huge effect on the quality of your photos!

I would suggest shooting in the Auto mode till you are familiar with the camera and how to adjust the manual settings. Just my two cents worth. =)

Good luck and happy shooting.

Poor picture quality fs11

Please check the details.. How was it taken? (esp the lighting.).. In low light, or in indoor shooting in evening, or using flash when the subject is a bit too far away can result in totally disappointing pics. Try outdoor when the lighting is proper with the correct settings... If you are not sure about the settings, put it in auto mode... This is not a bad camera. Just try it out...

Well, if EVERYTHING'S unsharp, it's camera movement. If it's the subject that's unsharp (and flash wasn't needed) it's subject movement, or else your camera is set for manual focus and isn't focused at the right point. Set the flash for AUTO, so it'll go off if needed. Set the focus for AUTO to make sure the main subject will be sharp (with people and animals, if the eyes are sharp, everything will look sharp). While I'm at it, some conditions will fool an autofocus sensor, like shooting through glass or at a subject with no features, like a plain white cloth, for instance. Some cameras have a "focus lock" feature where you can choose what you want to be sharp, hold THAT, and reframe before shooting. Your manual will have specifics on features. If none of the above work, it's probably time to have it serviced (if its worth more than, say US$150 or so).

Unsharp Images

My boss has the S-2. THis is the second one she has had. The first one would not give us a sharp image no matter what we did. We returned that body and got a new one. This one is better but to match the S-1 that I had at the time she had to turn the in camera sharpness on to high.I had the S-1 set to normal. I would check out what the in camera sharpness is set to. Is the camera new? Or is this a new problem. Fuji has good tech support you might want to give them a call. Best of luck

Best situation to use each of the shooting modes

Program Auto (Factory default setting) Program Auto mode is used for regular photography. The camera automatically makes the settings for natural color balance. Other functions, such as the flash mode and metering, can be adjusted manually. Portrait Portrait mode is suitable for taking a portrait-style picture of a person. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Landscape + Portrait Landscape + Portrait mode is suitable for taking photos which include both your subject and the landscape. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Landscape Landscape mode is suitable for taking pictures of landscapes and other outdoor scenes. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. Night scene Night scene mode is suitable for shooting pictures in the evening or at night. The camera sets a slower shutter speed than is used in normal shooting. If you take a picture of a street at night in any other mode, the lack of brightness will result in a dark picture with only dots of light showing. In this mode, the true appearance of the street is captured. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. If you use the flash, you can take pictures of both your subject and the night background. Indoor Indoor mode enables you to take pictures while indoors by allowing the flash to reach farther away. Beach & Snow Beach & Snow mode enables you to take pictures of scenery containing white sand or snow. Cuisine Cuisine mode enables you to take pictures of food by increasing the saturation, sharpness and contrast settings to take sharp, vivid pictures of the subject. Self-portrait Self-portrait mode enables you to take a picture of yourself while holding the camera. Point the lens towards yourself, and the focus will be locked on you. The camera automatically sets the optimal shooting conditions. The zoom is fixed in the wide position and cannot be changed. QuickTime Movie QuickTime Movie mode lets you record movies with sound. The focus and zoom are locked. If the distance to the subject changes, the focus may be compromised.
