My sirius stiletto 2 has stopped charging the battery properly...I'm pretty sure I have fried out the mechanism that charges the battery properly. When placed on a dock it will turn on, and appear to be charging the battery. When I remove it from the dock, it is super hot, more than it should be, and will have about a half charge. However, whatever charge it took is gone within about 15 minutes, as if it can't keep the charge. It is not the battery as I have already replaced it and it does the same thing. Do you know what could be wrong with it, like some type of transistor being fried out, and if so, do you know where they can be sent in to be repaired? Thanks for any help!!

SOURCE: audio stuck on high

You cannot adjust the volume when the stereo cord is plugged into the back of the dock. Instead, plug the stereo cord into the front headphone jack of the dock. You will be able to adjust the volume then.

You must be sure to have satellite radio turned off in order to connect to the pc. If you are using a home dock, first make sure satellite is off and then push the "Sync" button on the front of the home dock.

I ran the stiletto device recovery program and it works again. You can find it on the Sirius website by searching for "stiletto device recovery". However, it does delete all of the content that you have saved on the stiletto.

My Stiletto 2 works fine in the car and in the home dock, but it will not read my battery. I have changed batteries out with another Stiletto 2, and the batteries show 100% charged in the other Stiletto,...

You may want to try to run a device recovery. Sometimes when a battery is drained, the Stiletto only remembers the status of the last battery as it ran completely out. A device recovery would help it reinitialize and recognize a new battery. Instructions and links for device recovery can be found here: http://www.tss-radio.com/links

Will not turn on

Try plugging it into USB and using this recovery software: http://www.sirius.com/servlet/Satellite?c=FlexContent&cid=1202144018210&pagename=Sirius%2FFlexContent%2FFlexEmpty
It may also need to be in the charging base during the restore.

Battery drain/charge problems - Sirius Stiletto 100

An ohm meter across the contacts of the switch, with the battery removed, will show you if it has shorted. If you get a full scale defection on the meter, just like touching the test probes together, in the off position you will have a short.

Sirius Satellite Stiletto 2

My Stiletto got the same problem at around the same time. I have been reading many stiletto owners problems and see many of the same problems erupting at around the same time-mid to late February. I just spoke with a Sirius Representative who said the Stiletto 2 has been discontinued. Seems like a conspiracy to me.

Sirius Stiletto 2 Problem

That's one of several problems my Stiletto 2 has. The only solution I've found is to "reboot" the unit. You'll have to remove the unit from the cradle, pop the back off, and remove the battery for a few seconds. Then put everything back together and power it up. It will take a minute or two, but once it reboots it should be fine.

Stiletto constantly powering off

Solution is downloading the sirius recovery software from sirius.com My radio would not connect to my computer because it would not fully turn on. disconnect the battery. Hold the DISPLAY and OPTIONS button on the radio face when reconnecting battery. Connect to PC and Sirius Recovery Program will pop up. Run program, takes approx 10 to 15 min and radio works good as new.
RUNNING PROGRAM WILL ERASE YOUR LIBRARY ON YOUR RADIO....
